No that shouldn’t be caused from a faulty ground strap. It’s most likely one of the relays in the fuse box causing terminal 15 to not activate

@@DymondeLuv no problem! Does the car “allow” you to insert the key into the slot? Like do you have to force it in and out or does it pop in and out easily? Reason I ask is because it could be a faulty key slot. It could also potentially be the power distribution box that sits on top of the battery (red square) since it has non replaceable fuses in it. The nut that holds the positive connection to the battery also strips out really easily making a loose connection. You can buying a new one Do your lights still work?

@@AshwinLB lights still work. Tried to replace the slot, there’s no “click” to secure the fob. Replaced the power distribution box. Just no luck 😞

I replace my battery and alternator crankshaft sensor still no start everytime I do try it engages with the start but feels like it’s not getting power the dashboard will flicker when I do but when I put the jumper cables on it feels like a better power connection but still won’t turn

You can go to the gauges sections and select the low pressure fuel sensor and see its value while the engine is running

Thank you! It’s actually because the auto sim uses a liquid and when the seals in the mirror wear out, the liquid leaks and the heating elements in the mirror cook it

You could have an actual fault in the fiber optic loop. If you can find out which module in the MOST loop has failed, if it is not a necessary module you can install a most bypass loop. If it’s a necessary module, you have to replace that module

I hope you can respond as im having issues, I tried to jumpstart a month back, ever since then I’ve had all sorts of problems. I had a fuel pump code which was never there, that went away when i disconnected the battery, now im getting all sorts of dtc, transmission and no starts and car just shuts off and other times it works well. I had a guy check it out and he says its most likely a bad ground, im hoping once that gets replaced it gets fixed.

Jump starting these cars can cause a lot of problems because of all the modules. It could be a variety of things but could be your TCU module

The hk amp won't turn on. The wiring is not correct on teyes to turn the amp on.

@@gsnair I would figure out what the remote turn-on wire for the amp is and wire it in to the accessory power wire on the Teyes headunit, it is pretty simple no soldering skills required. I had to do extra wiring for my HK amp as well because Teyes just makes the harness to hookup to the base sound system, not anything upgraded like HK

@gsnair it looks like on the 2019+ outback with HK, it’s not possible to remote turn it on without a iDatalink ADS-MRR2 or CRUX SWRSU-38D interface with ANY aftermarket headunit due to the way the factory headunit interfaces with the amp to turn it on. If you look on the crutchfield website, it shows you what you need to retain HK amp and other factory features

yeah it’s a VTT oil cap breather. I have an external PCV system so the breather is there as a failsafe to relieve crankcase pressure if any of the lines freeze

I like it teyes graphics all that but I heard many issues I want it buy the cc3 2K 6/128gb but I know yet is another one out Lenovo 510 2k 8/128gb but the graphics is not the same:(

Yeah the reason I love the Teyes are for the graphics, the other ones are not up to par. I will say personally I’ve installed 3 Teyes units with no issues after install but I have also heard of other people having issues as well

When I am calling over bluetooth in background is a noise shh is a options to not doing that to be clean I am talking not when are you on call before answering the phone when you call someone! The display is to bright at night, and all is lowest zero

I ran mine directly to the main lines on the valve cover because my car kept throwing limp mode from a hairline crack on the top of the canister. CC ID-29 . Car runs hard , but I need to swap my Vanos Senosrs previous owner neglected this car

No the beeping is thru a speaker integrated into the canbus module and the sound can’t be changed. Honestly I got used to and don’t even realize it’s there

Until March 2009 build date, BMW pre-wired all the e82/e88 and e9x with alarm wiring, so that the alarm system could be a dealer installed option. That’s why this only works for pre-March 2009 cars. After the 2008 recession, BMW said fuck that since it would be cheaper to produce the cars without the wiring and they weren’t making money from including the wiring

It's been a minute since you posted this video, but just want to thank you for the detailed DIY. I caught Z260's video back when this sensor was first made available. I of course nabbed one immediately from Nexsys, but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. I particularly liked your strategy of routing the sensor wires back through the factory harness and deleting the old switch wiring/connector - very clean! Btw, I seem to recall someone suggested that the probable explanation for why BMW didn't include an oil pressure sensor was because they feared owners would freak out over how HIGH the oil pressure runs on N54s. Regardless of the reason, many thanks to Nexsys!

@@iwmz0 you can still be pre-wired if you have an earlier build date 2009. Put your VIN into a bmw vin decoder and if the build date is before March 2009 then you can install the alarm kit

yeah you can’t install the genuine bmw kit unfortunately. You can look into aftermarket alarm like DEI or if you just want beep then you can get a RemoteKey+ module

@@AshwinLB just following up for anyone else reading this, I was able to remove the entire intake down to the throttle body. I was able to reach the top nut, and installed the top of the new cable. Put car on jacks, and only removed the corner of the panel closest to the seem and without going all the way under the car you can feel the cable and nut. Super easy to get to. My jack wasn’t low enough so had to buy mini ramps and jack it up and put them on the ramps just to be able to get underneath the center front jack point, than I could get jack stands beneath it. Splurge for the low pro jack!

@diyengineerUSA definitely another great way to go about it. I personally have a cordless ratchet so it’s much faster to just remove the whole splash shield and do the entire job from the bottom
