This is the most explanatory video i have seen. Installation details was awesome and straight forward. Great job. I am going to the junkyard tomorrow to get all the parts from E90 Gen. Parts are super cheap there. My question is, i have bimmer geeks protool coding and diagnostics obd device. Can I use that to program the system?

I just installed the same alarm on my 2006 325XI, I was reading that if the LED under the mirror rapidly flashes for 10 seconds it means that a door/hood/trunk is open. Mines also flashes rapidly then goes to normal. It also doesn’t go off when ever I lock it and rock the car to trigger the alarm

From what I understood, the rapid flashing for 10 seconds just means that the system has been armed. What doesn’t go off whenever you lock it? Like the siren doesn’t go off?

@@AshwinLB i read a manual that says it means that something might be open, it beeps wherever I lock/unlock it but whenever I try to panic alarm it or whenever I lock the car and I’m inside it the alarm doesn’t go off

Yeah you can modify values for the sidemarkers from NCS Expert (pc), Bimmercode (iPhone) or protool (android) under the CAS module. If you got LED sidemarkers, you would have to turn off the cold bulb check

@@isrealperez9069 I couldn’t really find a guide but in the CAS module, there’s a section of lines related to bulb checks. There should be an English translation but the cold bulb parameter starts with”KALWTUEBERWACHUNG“. Just switch those from active to not active and then just write those changes

Unfortunately e93 doesn’t have any ultrasonic sensors for interior movement

Hey what’s up man thanks for the video. I’ve got the alarm all installed. I have BimmerCode and the adapter however under anti theft alarm system it just says “ecu not supported” and under the CAS system the only thing it says about the alarm is an option to use key and remote or just remote to use it. Any ideas how I can get this coded? Is there another app that would have it available? Thanks!

You basically just want to follow the steps in the video but with bimmercode. So you default code the 4 modules and change the variable from not active to active

@@AshwinLB hey what program are you using on your laptop for the coding? The tool I bought actually coded the alarm but nothing triggers it to go off. It chirps when arming and disarming, siren has been tested and everything I can see on the tool is showing it as active. The only thing that’s off is the clown nose blinks twenty times at first then blinks every three seconds. Which is saying that a sensor is not closed. But I have no error codes and live data shows that all sensors are closed and pitch sensor is in resting position. So I dunno wtf.

I’m using INPA, you can download it for free from bimmergeeks but you need the k+dcan cable

@@AshwinLB awesome thanks man I appreciate it. I actually got it to work! Everything except the hood pin which I’m not worried about. Are those laptops on eBay worth it for $500? Will a cable a laptop and that free program do just about the same thing? At this point I’m not gonna be doing anything too in depth but right now the only other thing I need to do is program the headlight I replaced. I’m sure more will come up later tho.

@danimalmx3 You can use any windows laptop with INPA. INPA is what the bmw dealer uses, it can do pretty much anything

Interesting, the pre-wired thing might only be for North American cars. The big teller is if you have the large rear dome light like mine, or a small rear dome light. You can see how the small rear dome light looks like in my LED bulb conversion video. If you have the large, check if the ultrasonic connector is there!

I believe you are correct in that assumption as Year One of One ring stopped before March 2009 but I would still double check in a BMW VIN Decoder to make sure your build date is before that. Side note - it’s weird but my May 2008 build 135i didn’t come with the Year One of the One ring!

I mentioned the DEI 3901T unit in the video that should work with LCI cars. Only thing it’s more complicated to install than the genuine bmw one. If you just want beeping, then you could get the remotekey+ module instead

@@AshwinLB That's what I thought. On Turner Motorsport's website states that the siren, alarm system hood switch, and vehicle control alarm unit will fit the E82, E84, E90, E91, and E92 chassis.

@@AshwinLB I installed this kit (which fit my 2007 335i coupe perfectly) and the alarm worked after I used Protools to do the coding. Since I didn't have a jack low enough to install the siren I had an Indy shop install it later-and it fit perfectly! Unfortunately, the beep when I lock and unlock can't be heard--but I think it's probably something I left out in the coding. I'll let you know once I have resolved it.

Great to hear that! Yes I had the same issue, I forgot to include it in the video! There is a coding option for the volume of the alarm and by default it was set very low. I just maxed it out and it was resolved! In DWAS module -> BUZZER_HIGH_LEVEL & BUZZER_LOW_LEVEL

@@iwmz0 you can still be pre-wired if you have an earlier build date 2009. Put your VIN into a bmw vin decoder and if the build date is before March 2009 then you can install the alarm kit

yeah you can’t install the genuine bmw kit unfortunately. You can look into aftermarket alarm like DEI or if you just want beep then you can get a RemoteKey+ module
