I couldn't find the device you used for wire winding. Is there a product link or how can I do it?

Congratulations, very good result 0.001308, I couldn't even achieve it with the Biqu Microprobe V2. , you have the video of the construction. To configure Marlin you treat it like Bltouch, and on an SKR mini E3 v3.0 board you can connect it to the port dedicated to Bltouch...? Thank you

I know this is an old post but I am picking back up my hobby of building coils...maybe take it to the next level this time and make some of the really hard ones. That Daedalus pro is a life saver even though I still use a drill and swivels for some coil builds, especially the staggared ones but yea I eve bought two of the Daedalus pro's and I have made many coils just like that but you made it look so much easier and your coil turned out perfect. Excellent video. Daedalus knew what they were doing when they made those inserts for sure. That second coil is nice too. I bet that first one vaped sweet, lol. And with the Daedalus you don't need a table vise to raise the swivel mount up high enough for the drill...I have a special mount somewhere around here that I am going to have to dig up but I have so many coils of wire of all kinds I can make coils for months, lmao ..... You do know you can get one of those cheap spaghetti presses from Ebay for about $35 and make any coil a flat one by running it through....I used to make all my claptons flat....I have it around here somewhere....got to dig it out too....it's a neat and easy trick to use also. People don't realize that for a lot of us, making these coils is an art form and more of a hobby than just vaping, otherwise we would just stick some premades in our rda's, hehe

So you're tension must not be that tight? You hardly had your wrapped wire curling, still having troubles with my cradle not moving right, I feel like the cradle or the wire spool holder jerks and twitches a lot ruining a lot of wire =(

Good luck! I would strongly recommend 2040 profile for Y axis and 4 wheels for Y and Z, if it is possible. It is much more stable. If you have any question don't hesitate to ask here or on thingiverse.

@@LeagueOfLegendsPakistan It should be ok with openbuild plates as they are more rigid. Ender 3 has Y carriage on 2020 profile and with right adjustment of wheels, the bed is stable.

I don't understand all of the controversy here? The end result looks identical to these two: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGmWnXxmrJt-jqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4fXe6R8hN93apo The only difference I can see is less ribbon wire in the core and he forced the outer wrap in between already claptoned wire using the Daedalus rather than stagering the clapton at the begining?

Looks great. I bought a Daedalus Pro about two years ago and I haven’t even managed to make one decent coil with it. Not even a basic Clapton with a single core. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I don’t get the “spool part” to move and my claptoning is terrible. I’ve tried with all different tensions to make it move, I’ve try to use it on slippery surface, been trying different wire gauges etc etc, but I fail every single time. Do you have any pro-tip or advice for me? Would really appreciate it bro!
@FastSnail004 жыл бұрын
I had the intention to make a video about the issues in the process of making coils with Daedalus. I didn't do it because i wasn't able to reproduce those issues even intentionally, and I have both Daedalus versions, Standard and Pro. So I think it is something wrong with spool holder or spring. Maybe a washer between spring and spool or between spool and spool holder would help.

Honestly to me, the deadulus and the pro version is a giant hassle. For framed builds all you need is a drill a swivel and a ribbon slider if you want. Still a great video I'm not gonna lie that's pretty cool. I just think that if you are already at this point of prep you would do much better with the drill swivel and optional bearing rotator.
@FastSnail004 жыл бұрын
Thank You! You are right, but not every vaper is willing to practice to make even a simple clapton coils or they don't have enough skill to use a drill. I did want to show that with Daedalus can be done more than simple clapton coils, with little imagination and much less skill. Now the hobby has changed and I still use coils made 2 years ago. :D
How hard was it installing the auto bed leveling and did you design those mounts?
@FastSnail005 жыл бұрын
Installing servo probe is identical as BLTouch, same mounting point, same wiring, same pins. Modifications are in firmware declaring servo instead of BL-Touch. I attached, here www.thingiverse.com/thing:3756428/comments, a file COSPv2.txt with all the sections from Configuration.h related to servo probe configuration and ABL. The mounts it is a remix of www.thingiverse.com/thing:3148733 only to be easier to take out the servo probe during the tests. The servo probe is here www.thingiverse.com/thing:3303618.

I love this probe so much. the only downside problem is that you need to install it pretty accurately with washers D: because if it only goes up slightly higher than the trigger distance
@FastSnail005 жыл бұрын
You are right but the same problem is to adjust the BL Touch. The trigger distance is only 0.7mm and the total travel distance is 5mm. I adjust the offset as following. I lower the nozzle as in manual leveling with a piece of paper underneath then raise the nozzle 0.4-0.5 mm and adjust the probe in such way that the led to indicate the triggered state at the limit (if i raise the nozzle 0.1mm the led should indicate open state). In such way you will obtain a distante between the tip of the raised probe and nozzle of at least 3mm.
