i will give my opinion, and thats all it is ok. 1st I find nothing wrong with the Stock / Spektrum electronics. I feel they do a great job imo. I tried a Castle 6S ESC / Motor in my Typhon, for curiosity. I like it yes, but that doesnt mean it condones the added expense in real world performance. Plus with Spektrum, if you run the DX3 with AVC receiver, the telemetry apps is pretty powerful ( Bluetooth Module sold seperatly). plus with Spektrum, affordable replacement cost with companies such as Jennys RC, Ebay. Stock ESC has some great ESC controls you can adjust as well.

@@RazerCreditRazercredit …. I agree as of today vs at the time of first impressions. Spectrum is the best out the box rtr combo there’s been in years. The only thing that I WILL say is that I never confidently reached 60+ mph on the felony with the stock combo bcs it was just taking me a long time to get used to a 15lbs 1/7 scale vs a 4lbs 1/10 scale plus the added power. It wasn’t until I dropped in my first castle esc.. (regardless of which castle esc) but my valuable input is that the castle esc has faster computation. It responds faster and the power curve and brake curve are very precise and very smooth and accurate compared to the spectrum which ISSS good bcs it dumps power and is good for exactly hooning and aggressive off-road. But I like high grip applications and the castle suites me for that.

Is there any chance you would be willing to share the STL files for the light buckets, and the engine bay/any other 3D printed accessories? I've been looking to get some light buckets and other small parts made for my skyline body, but from the looks of it, I'm just going to have to find something generic and keep playing with the dimensions in Blender until I get it just right. LOL

I feel so bad for the times everyone has asked about the Skyline light buckets because they were hand made with building materials. Someone just recently asked about the same thing but I always do my best to post the product links in the comment section and or description section. However I DOOO have a good resin printer and complete station but I have not been able to set it up and “learn” CAD profile bcs of the current space available 😞 but we are trying to move to a bigger house 🥳 so I am trying. I still have the stencils and I want to build more skyline so that will happen soon as well. If I’m not mistaken, I made a video where I showed and shared my stencils for the headlight buckets. It’s in the Skyline Playlist. Crap I lied I didn’t… it was on the ARRMA forum while looking for someone who was willing to print them but it didn’t happen.

@@toysforboysrc Hey thanks for replying. I know you've probably gotten that question about a millions times. I'm always late to the party when it comes to media and YT. Sorry about that. If you find out where that video is that shows your stencils, I'd be happy to put them together in Blender and return the file to you. Not sure why no one has done that yet, but I've looked HIGH AND LOW across the web for an STL file for side mirrors, light buckets and windshield wipers for the Protoform Skyline Gt-R 34 body for the ARRRM Infraction.....Sadly, no one has made these yet. I'm probably going to find some other parts for different models that will look good, and just play with the sizes until I get a good print that fits. If I do that, I'll send you the saved STL file of the good print.

I made those from scratch and I shared all my product links with all the parts I used video by video. It was expended PVC foam board 1/8” thick and the lights are all over eBay and Amazon. They are automotive 12-14v led lights. For trailers, bikes, trucks exc.. the lights are cheap so in a pack you get 5 pairs 10 count… be sure you look at them closely and pick out the best for your rc. The wires are going to be very crappy but they have not failed. People also used those same led for the Felony and infraction bcs it’s easy to do just drill holes.. there will be two sizes, I got the smaller ones bcs of heat and voltage requirements.

Hi, it’s complicated… I “meant” to order it with an 8mm shaft but accidentally ordered one with a 5mm shaft. When I realized it several hours later I called to modify my order to an 8mm but it had already shipped, so before it arrived we already had the return/exchange lined up before I even made the video. Of course I was eager to see it in person bcs I never owned a TP before. I like to scrutinize things that’s just me, so I could not resist making the video bcs eeeeevery body has a TP but I NEVER heard or seen anyone talk about what I was looking at and it started a storm of ppl worrying😒but half said that it will brake in after a while and to be honest I never seen or heard of a failure from this clearance stuff, but this topic could go on for ever🤷‍♂️.. anyway I continued to proceed with the return and when the identical motor but with the 8mm shaft arrived, it also had a super fine clearance and spun better but at that point I realized that that’s just how TP motors are and I stopped worrying about it so I didn’t mention anything to not sound like a Karen lmao or like the picky guy that I am, but that pays off with clients as I’m a perfectionist. I never ever had any problems with my 4070 2200kv 8mm TP motor, but I truly got worried during that initial first unboxing ever. Tip…. I also noticed that although I bought it from (island hobby 🫶#1) I also did research on the actual TP motor website and I found a section that said if there is a factory defect, it must be sent to TP motors them selves for inspection.. so I was partially worried that I would have to deal with TP instead of Island Nut because TP doesn’t even talk to their customers which is why I went with Island Nut to begin with. I’ve had other customer needs with Island nut concerning more future purchases from them and the owner IZZY is a SUPER awesome guy. So after getting to know the staff, they really treat you good!

@toysforboysrc
@toysforboysrc 7 ай бұрын
@@dennisg3693 ….. I just recently traded the car for something else. I had it about 7 yrs reliable. The only thing I’ll say is that what ever you have your boost psi at is the boost psi that you’ll get across the rpm range and throttle body position range AKA gas pedal. This is unless you have a separate boost controller to make sure you don’t build too much boost too early. I did not have a boost controller, I only had a manual $30 boost adjuster valve. So I would not try to build boost past 0 psi until I at least hit 3000 rpm where it’s safe and will not lug the turbo. Still with trust in mind, you don’t want to go WOT on your turbo and Apexi controller until 3500-4000 rpm AND I would also not attempt WOT tuning until you’ve had the turbo build and Apexi long enough. One you get the hand of the apexi, you’ll learn the hi-low throttle tables and the hi-low fuel tables that correspond. At that point you’ll want a good AFR gauge and you will want to go to your “monitors” on apexi and choose the throttle percentage graph and two other graphs that you will need to monitor while doing a pull. Because this apexi does not log data like other more capable ecu, you will need to have those graphs I’m telling you about displayed on the apexi screen and your friend will need to record the apexi as it displays values and you while driving looking at your AFR gauge. You can also have the AFR next to the apexi where both of you see it but mostly so that you can record the live AFR with the live apexi values as to actually record live data logging. I got my shit running goooood.

@@dennisg3693 …. So with all that said… if you hit knock, detonation, pre ignition, you’ll have it recorded and with the ADDED BENEFIT OF AUDIO you can see and hear what’s happening and you can make changes as needed…. What changes you ask.., that natural comes after getting your car running first and driving it easy while learning the Apexi. My advice to you is to get ONE STEP COLDER on your spark plugs and close the gap to 0.25 and up to 0.30 MAX! This will prevent the spark plug from being blown out like a candle under high boost and it will ALSO prevent knock and pre ignition under high boost and high engine temps. The one “slight” downside is that the engine will take longer to warm up and you get cool pop and crackle sounds on every cold start.
