Just got one yesterday and it barely fit in my damn car! It is huge! My first pelican and as far as I can tell it’s very nice. It’s also heavier than I thought it would be.

Case Club makes a 5-pistol pre-cut foam insert that fits the Pelican 1500 model case. It's much better than the pick and pluck foam that comes with the case from the factory if you need it for pistols.

Hm, looks best for road travel, this and a 1535 with dividers for air travel will be my next purchase.

I just ordered an air pelican case and after watching this video now I’m worried. To me the air looks like it’s made out of that same shitty plastic that the storm cases are made out of where you can take your fingernail and scratch it. The original pelicans never had this issue, but I swore off storm cases years and years ago because of this.

can you please show us the inside of the case with out the foam. To assist in deciding if my equipment will fit.Sometimes there are struts etc on the inside which diminish the actual internal dimensions. Thank you

After you cut one of the two inch foam layers to fit your gun or whatever, you'll have one two-inch foam layer as well as one one-inch foam layer on one side, but only the one one-inch foam layer on the flip cover side. Why? It should be a two inch, sandwiched between two two-inch layers, no?

The 1400 is arguably the “perfect” size. There is a reason many manufacturers use the 1400 to house their AEDs, oxygen delivery systems as well as electronics, drones, test equipment, cameras, knives, pistols, watches, etc. The 1400 has extensive 3rd party support for lid storage, bezels, name tags and accessories. It stores and stacks easily. Even if you load it very heavy, a small adult can easily carry one in each hand. If I see one used needing a little TLC that I can pick up cheap, I’ll jump on it.

Need a 1250 that’s just a tad bit deeper

Nice case to transport my saltwater fly rods but it does not have the newer "push button latches" feature or upgrade available, nor does it have an ID holder like their "Air" cases for airline travel tags. I will have to purchase an aftermarket plastic id holder and use some type of heavy-duty glue to affix an ID holder.

Thx! I was wondering what the two strips of foam were intended for in the TrekPak kit for my 1535. Now I know. You all could do yourselves a huge favor by slashing the prices of the TrekPak kits as one can make them for about $30 or so. Just saying. I actually have another TrekPak kit coming for another brand's case (N**** 935) that I use for my photography equipment. That said, I will probably stay with Pelican from this point forward. And for the record, the pick and pluck is worthless in any case unless you need additional padding with the TrekPak.

I wish you'd do a side by side size comparison with the next model down and up. You can't really judge the size difference between two videos.

Do you have to cut into the foam for a rifle or can you just remove one of the bottom pads? Will the rifle be "snug" enough? I want to avoid cutting foam. Thanks

Between the 1750 and 1720 Pelican Cases, which one of these two would be the best fit for a M16A4 service rifle?

I have one I've been using for about a year and a half in professional travel (Airline Pilot). They are tough as nails but the wheels are garbage. Though it's still rolling, it will wake the dead with how noisy they are and, they are definitely at the end of their lives. I'm in the process to replace/upgrade wheels but matching the size on wheels, axles, length, etc. is proving difficult. I'm awaiting the 3rd set.

I wish you guys would offer these with swivel wheels. I know it may take away of space inside but the spinning luggage is so nice for moving in those long TSA lines. (I fly out of Atlanta)

Hey all. This is the same size as the 1200 model, except its 17.4 cm deep, where as the 1200 is 12.4 cm deep. (according to Amazon specs)
