Pelican 1500 Case with Foam, Black (Camera, Gun, Equipment Case)

Case Club makes a 5-pistol pre-cut foam insert that fits the Pelican 1500 model case. It's much better than the pick and pluck foam that comes with the case from the factory if you need it for pistols.

With all the foam plucked out, what's the max width of the storage area? If the total interior case width is about 17" and the foam border is 1" around, my guess is 15", but I'm hoping someone can give a more exact measure. Thanks!

I just received my 1500 (Padded divider version) but it is missing the egg crate foam for the lid.

I know most would figure it out but WHY would you give dimensions with the foam removed giving the impression that the case is bigger than what it really is? Without the protection the case is useless for it's intent.

My company uses SKB cases as the primary housing for some of our portable test equipment. We buy the cases bare (no foam) and the interior no-foam dimension is what matters to us. Different applications, different requirements. Granted, this video was for the "with foam" version, but it was the first video I found when looking for info for this case, so it was useful to see both dimensions.
