How the hell did you get the new PCM to plug back in? We have three guys and have spent 4 hours trying to get it back in.
@KnightsGarage
@KnightsGarage 3 күн бұрын
@@tzick it was pretty easy. It pretty much just plugged back in. You have to make sure you have the tabs pulled back all the way on the connector like you have it when you remove the plug before you can plug it back in. If that makes any sense.

Am I the only person that has problems with the seat back latching?
@KnightsGarage
@KnightsGarage 10 күн бұрын
The first time I latched mine back, it seems like it took a lot of force, and it does take much more force than the other side. I know if you move a little bar latches too before you latch the seat back the latch won’t be lined up correctly to latch. A lot of use of the word latch in there, but I hope you get what I’m saying

Just installed the 4dTech start-stop eliminator in my 2020 Chrysler Voyager. The 4Dtech installation video does not allow comments, and now I know why. It takes a while to figure out which connector to remove. And be very careful you don't drop the screws because you will never find them again. Better to use a screwdriver than the 7mm socket recommended. Otherwise it is a simple operation.

If you have a platinum there is no rewiring to add the center high mount camera. You just have to disconnect the plug and plug the new one in and some forscan changes. The plug is a little pain to reach but it's not that bad. Altogether the worst part of it was figuring out what to change in forscan.

If you have an RT and not a scat pack or above trim level, you’re gonna have that when you enable the SRT functions. Because the RT does not have the proper steering wheel and clock spring that it looks for when you enable those functions

If I were to use the silicon would I put it around it before installing the plug or from the outside after installed?
@KnightsGarage
@KnightsGarage 17 күн бұрын
I wouldn’t use silicone because it may affect the way the adhesive on the plug itself sticks to the window glass. I guess you could smear some around the outer edge of the plug after you’ve installed it on the outside of the glass, but it would be a pain to get the excess off and you would surely scratch the surfaces plug up and it would never come back clean

I got mine flying pretty good. Of course, now is 2 years after this video, but anyway, I digress... I have a fusion 180 that is almost, well, pretty much, unflyable. Sent it back to HH and they said it flew perfectly for them for 2 batteries worth. Sent it back to me untouched, only to have the same, wanting to bury the rotors in the ground on spool up, then have to hold lots of right stick, and as the flight progresses, have to start holding left to the point I can't even go any more left, and then have to land. Something DEFINATELY not right! Now, the good news..sort of.. I got an Infusion 180 as my first heli, like you, after many years. Used to have (well, I still do) a Thunder Tiger Raptor 30, and a zoom Shogun, anyway, That Infusion 180 flew like CRAP!! Same thing with trying to bury the rotors, was an ugly mess! I got in touch with tech support back when they still had phone help, and the guy set me up with a new program for my radio that fixed EVERYTHING! Gave me all the proper telmetry I wasn't getting before, no more dumb spool up tip diggin' tendencies, the things a kitten now! lol So, I guess what I'm saying is, it's either something in the bind, or something in the program. I just wish those guys could have loaded whatever flight data they were using, on to my card which I had sent along with the heli for 'repairs'. Now it sits on my shelf, waiting for me to learn enough about all this stuff to take a viable, educated stab at fixing it.

Nice how-to. But I don’t see what the benefit of the quick release is. Does it make it easier to remove the can to empty it?
@KnightsGarage
@KnightsGarage 20 күн бұрын
Yes, the quick release makes it easier to remove the cam to empty it. Even if you didn’t have to remove the can the high-quality quit releases they use our universal to their kits and make it easier when making the hoses for different vehicles. All they need to know is the host size itself and I think they only make two different sizes. Also many of their quick releases will go right onto factory PCV fittings for all vehicles, depending on which size you have makes it easier for production and simplicity of install.

Is this a 2022 model? If it is where is the factory BOV
@KnightsGarage
@KnightsGarage Ай бұрын
No BOV on 2022 and up. Ford uses some complex recirculation thing they do with the throttle body to use the excessive pressure. Kind of sucks because it makes it hang when you let off the gas for a couple seconds as it uses the excess pressure instead of expelling it from the system.

Does anyone know the thickness of the small bracket part of the release kit, the thickness of the keyhole inside the bracket, and the width of the keyhole's limiting section? What are the dimensions of the square-headed pin cap and its shaft diameter for the latch on the new F-150? Will they fit accurately together?

Thanks for your video! It helped me install mines today on my 2023 Rocky Ridge F150 5.0L V8 Coyote! Unfortunately I was losing mpg after this setup until I researched why. And that’s because lack of crankcase pressure releasing from my engine. Simple fix. I just purchased UPR’s Crankcase Breather Kit One-Way Valve Billet that replaces your engine oil valve cover and I definitely noticed a difference with my mpg and how my truck was running better! You almost can’t install a catch can without one! They run hand in hand to help relieve that crankcase pressure.
@BRTbike-fz5fn
@BRTbike-fz5fn 13 күн бұрын
So when you replaced the valve cover PCV, how open is the UPR valve as far as jet size? I wondered if the can would cause a slight restriction in vacuum over the short OEM tube. This answered my question.👍👍
@toddjohnson7787
@toddjohnson7787 13 күн бұрын
@@BRTbike-fz5fnI’m glad it helped you because by just installing the UPR catch can itself began to create negative crankcase pressure (not enough to cause check engine lights but enough to effect gas mileage) and adding the UPR crankcase breather one way valve billet brought that pressure back to normal all while keeping my engine bay clean because nothing but air pressure escapes, no fluids due to the one way valve billet built inside of it.

The link app provided is to their website where you can choose your options. If you don’t choose any options I think it’s just the base kit that does not include the driver side or the check valve. You have to choose your options to how much you want to spend the one I installed here has everything the clean side as well as the billet check valve and magnetic drain plug.

just bought my truck yesterday, one question, on my other truck (silverado 2021) it had a high and low pressure pcv and i originally hooked up to the low side that hits the intake, i learned later that the other high pressure side is where most of the oil blows by and i had to completely rework it to the other side. Did you install on the side that actually gets the majority of the oil blowby?
@KnightsGarage
@KnightsGarage 2 ай бұрын
It will always be the PCV valve that sucks from the valve cover into where the throttlebody is. Most vehicles it’s on the passenger side of the engine. On the other side from the intake into the valve cover, so you’re not gonna get much oil due to thedirection of airflow.

@@CrookedlegGreg I did a comparison test in 2015 when UPR made products to go inside of their competitors catch can to make it actually catch oil. on my 2015 mustang the UPR unit there was almost no residue in the exit side of the can but on two major competitors it was soaking wet with oil after 1000 miles. In 2015 is why I still use UPR on every vehicle I’ve owned since then. Just for me to keep oil and water vapors out of my intake. Their cans are quality machine parts and UPR’s company is awesome.
