So they created chips and all this technology to safe guard against fraud… but that doesn’t even matter because they’re still using the good ole fashioned way. I don’t answer anything. You can leave me a voicemail and tell me what you need and who you are. You have to be careful about googling customer service numbers too.

I get it. But. If in 2006 a mortgae was taken out, wouldn't that require mortgage payments be made since 2006? And if no payments were made in the last 18 years, wouldn't this have come to court some 16 years ago? I feel as though there is some other facts missing from his story. And how did the system fail him when he was the one who signed over the deed to the home? Still an interesting story, thanks for posting.

I knew this was a scam because why would the person asked me for my PayPal information and then they’re gonna send me a link to apply for the task I knew this was a set up then in there because when you apply for a job or apply for companies that pay you for task free You still have to fill out the application they don’t make you fill out an application or anything. They just go right to ask you about your PayPal information.

I did a Nielsen rating survey, got several calls, never answered one because I had what I needed already from them, and I would never answer such a call from anyone I do business with. Even when my credit card was compromised and I had a call from my creditor, I called them back. Too easy for these criminals to operate these days 👌🏽

There is something I don't understand. This exact issue with ticket master happened to my sister. The data that was taken was 10 YEARS OLD. The credit card is still active, but the expiration date and the cvc# is now different. How much harm can the scammers do with this old information? My sister did take precautions and changed the account #, froze her account, and notified the three credit bureaus. Now what?

@mslegalista2 күн бұрын
Here's something to consider, definitely not legal advice since I don't know what state you're in, and I'm not trying to have your state bar come after me. You may want to start with a cease and desist letter. If they don't stop, then reach out to an attorney in your state to file a lawsuit against them. But I'd try a cease and desist letter first. You could even talk to an attorney about sending one for you.
@pjt38874 күн бұрын
This can easily be solved by contacting your County's property records and you can , for example , put a code word on your account that the person will need to have if they want to be able to pull your property records. You can also be notified of any and every time someone tries to access that file. If you talk to most legal advocates in the industry, they will tell you that the "insurance" people are trying to pedal is bogus. What's disturbing to me is how many people are getting paid on the back end. Yet they aren't disclosing it? That's the violation of the federal trade commission. If you don't divulge that, so if any of your creators are doing this, I highly encourage you to divulge it in your recording. so you don't get popped, because the feds are watching very closely..

I think it's impossible to get that much from an ATM. He must have some inside help or did the transactions in person or over the phone.

It does seem very suspicious. Most accounts have daily ATM withdrawal limits. I think that's why the woman is questioning what happened. It's not adding up.

I usually hang up then go to my account and check to see if there have been any questionable transactions. Or, say, "Hello. You have reached the RCMPolice fraud division. For your safety, this call is being traced. Please stay on the line and a law enforcement officer will be with you shortly. Please have your government issued identification handy so we may better serve you. Bonjour. Vous avez joint la Division de la fraude de la GRC en matière de police. Pour votre sécurité, cet appel est en cours de traçage. Restez en ligne et un agent des forces de l’ordre sera avec vous sous peu. If my money is stolen, isn't it insured by the FDIC?
@mslegalista4 күн бұрын
This is from the FDIC's website: "FDIC deposit insurance protects bank customers in the event that an FDIC-insured depository institution fails. Bank customers don’t need to purchase deposit insurance; it is automatic for any deposit account opened at an FDIC-insured bank. Deposits are insured up to at least $250,000 per depositor, per FDIC-insured bank, per ownership category." "FDIC deposit insurance does not protect against losses due to theft or fraud, which are addressed by other laws."

Hi. Thanks again for the updates of these criminals 😡. What do think will happen when/if money becomes digital 😳🤨?
@mslegalista4 күн бұрын
You are welcome!!! According to clearlypaymentsdotcom..."studies conducted by the Federal Reserve, cash usage has been on a steady decline. In 2021, cash was used for approximately 20% of all transactions. Fast forward to 2024, and the downward trend persists, with reports indicating that cash payments now represent a mere 16% of all transactions. This significant drop underscores a fundamental shift in consumer preferences towards digital alternatives." So, yeah...we're already on our way there.

These scammers are getting really good. Not only are they using legitimate company names, they are using the actual names of company executives. Sending out very legitimate, professional, looking offer letters. Always look them up and call to verify. I have also noticed that a lot of the emails will come from Gmail addresses. These particular scammers repeatedly told me that they would send everything I needed to do the job. Once I led them to believe I had returned a signed offer letter and filled out W4 form, they told me I needed to purchase an iPhone 15 Pro Max and an iPad 13. I was not to open the boxes. I was to send a pic of the boxed items and receipt, and mail them to the software department. They would install the software I needed to work and mail them back to me. I told them I would get right on it and blocked all their contact info. I had already called the company and found out that they were not hiring.

They use satellite imagery for certain. I have a secondary property and they always take the imagery in the winter when there is less foliage on the trees. I can zoom in to about 30 ft. above the property on my county tax assessor's site. That is what they allow me to see, so they can zoom in closer. At this height, nothing can be hidden. The moral of the story is, that companies have been using this tech for years, and they will only use it more as time goes on. Either take care of your property or expect to pay higher premiums or be dropped.

So their checking properties, which home owners should be doing anyway. Why should insurance companies be liable for, example a gas tank that is placed close to your home. I talk g like a 100 gallon tank. Not a gallon used for a generator. Which should not be close to your home anyway. I my opinion.

I had a job interview online, only through text via Telegram. It seemed like a legit interview. I was told that I will be sent a check to buy the office equipment that I needed. Later I was told that they were having a problem getting the check delivered and asked if I can print it instead of them mailing it. I told them if that was legal everyone would be doing it, then I blocked them.

I love these calls. They start with their script and I interrupt them with, "So, who are you calling at this number?" At which point they pause slightly and continue on script. (They're well trained!) At which point I ask again, "So, who specifically are you calling for at this number? What's the name on the account?" This when the rambling and stuttering begins. "Excuse me, I'm asking you a very simple question that anyone working at Amazon should be able to tell me. What is my name?" At this point they usually hang up. (Incidentally, even if they DO have your name. It's still a scam. Amazon won't call you for this kind of thing. Just tell them that they have the wrong number and there is no one here by that name.)
