Anybody that makes it to the professional level is far from being a joke. You don’t know what it takes to make it as a boxer. One of the hardest sports in the world.

Fighting easy competition like canelo

Amir Khan, is a great fellow boxer and champion and perhaps and even better person outside the squared circle ⭕️, but he had a weak chin. When Canelo knocked him out by feinting a low jab, and then catching him with that vicious overhand right, that TKO was scary. Even Canelo looked very concerned when Amir was down. 🥊🥊🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💖✝️

@raychildress4074Күн бұрын
Learn all the aspects-offense, defense, speed, power, stamina,footwork, creating opportunities, etc. Yes, in a nutshell, learn to box but master all the nuances.

5:10 Very common and very stupid. Footwork is a flow and a choice, the only way to get better footwork is to get mindful of it and start moving more during rounds. If you start your round not moving your feet and you get conscious of that mid round, your brain will make you physically impossible to do that and you'll start moving like if you spent the last hour drinking Vodka. Boxing footwork is very simple, you just gotta do it. You got slow feet? Use drills. 1-2 back, explosive squats and squat jumps, lunges to jump, just that.

There's no shortcut in boxing. Weight training doesn't help. Watch training regime of pros. the more muscles you get the more oxygen they need.

Training at home is good, but for developing proper technique, I think it's inevitable to have someone who knows what they are doing look at your training. Especially in the beginning, you are making mistakes that are very hard to spot if you are not coached. Also, having a partner to hold pads or for light sparring is so valuable for your progress.

To perform the drills in a semi-slow motion, perfectly executed over and over again, burning in all the movement into the muscle memory is also a corner stone to reach exelent speed.
