Sprints are better than long distance or just jog and sprint on and off for 2-5 miles

all energy systems need to be trained for optimal performance. sprint repeats will train your ability to recover after flurries of hard punches but without a aerobic base it wont matter how fast your anerobic system recovers if your aerobic base is fatigued. you can build your anaerobic system all you want but without a solid vo2 you will gas quick. you should build your aerobic cap/power with zone 2/3 training around 16 w/o then during camp around 8 w/o build the alactic anerobic/atp systems with HIIT and SIT training

Anyone know how to get an amateur fight?
@Panchho27 күн бұрын
Im an amatuer boxer. You need to join a club have your coach help set you up if your younger and you need to get licensed under usa boxing if your older im sure you can do this yourself but you will need a coach/team your coach will help you look for events so you can sign up to fight in places like the golden gloves or just tornaments for amatuer boxers at places

Can anyone give me some workout routine for peekaboo so i can get better at using it?
@friend969419 күн бұрын
Step 1: you dont do a peakaboo, why? because thats how you get hurt inside the ring and pretty much everyone knows how to counter a peakaboo specially from any amateur who "trains" themselves. Go visit Tony Jeffries channel, i learned all basics from him before signing in a boxing gym and i had skipped all basic trainings, my coach complemented me and is putting me on sparring sessions already which takes most students about a month or so.

If ur starting off boxing DO NOT practice peel a boo or Philly or any unique styles, focus on mastering boxing forms that 1. Compliments your body type/weight/boxing style and demeanor know yourself in boxing before implementing other boxers 2. Boxing styles that have principles and theories that are easily understood and implemented especially during sparring when there’s real punches thrown at you. With that being said if you wanna learn peak a boo use close range fighting stance and shift body weight with every hook/upper/rear straight that you throw and shifting body weight with every step and slip that you use, learning pivots from either side, keeping a lower stance is very important in sitting down on your shots, and 100% you cannot use peakaboo without adequate head movement, learning footwork to advance the fighter is important which can be achieved by using a slip line or envisioning a slip line and walking it down by rolling and throwing while you step, last but not least if you can’t take a punch then don’t use peakaboo, because I’ll tell you what Mike Tyson’s ferocity while throwing was his staple but not much talks about how much punishment he can endure which allows him to have the confidence to take his opponent out All in all keep boxing but reality is peakaboo style in itself only works with someone who has exceptional speed and next level power which is why I say that it’s best to use peakaboo as a supplement to your style

If u don’t got a good coach who knows it well. don’t start off with peekaboo

Some good tips but way too much emphasis on the attributes of mitt work. Mitt work is way overrated! It’s choreographed and to mechanical, the absolute opposite of a real fight. It gets the mind and body used to reaction to a pre programmed set of movements. In a fight your opponent will do a myriad of things that you must react or abate spontaneously.

I don't think you understand but when you build muscle memory your body will be able to react quickly I advice you to work on a counter combo like slip uppercut parry jab anything like that building that muscle memory would be devastating because once it becomes muscle memory it won't really take long before your brain realizes its in the situation you worked so hard on tank davis has accurasy cus he trained so hard with MIT work please do your research
