Does the Berkey filter remove any beneficial properties of the water itself besides the contaminants?

Mine turned out super thick and stiff lol. I didn’t realize I used Bernat Blanket Extra until I was done and thought “what’s going on here”. I’m hoping after it’s washed it’ll relax a little. I don’t have time to find out because I put this off too far before Christmas, but maybe at the end of the week lol. I’ll update later. At least there’s the experience down 😂
@keemo8302 күн бұрын
So all who are curious once you pull the air filter cover off and remove the air filter just pull up on the box cuz it's pretty much plugged into some rubber grommets. No nuts or bolts just pull hard and it'll come right up.

Thank you for showing all of the different sizes. Need to make about 4-6 hats in a day and this is totally doable so thank you for all the detailed sizing. When I do this with the bernat blanket yarn, I'll take measurements so that I can use different yarn & different sizing. Just need to do even number of rows. Going to finish watching the rest of the video. Thank You for taking the time out of your day to share this with us all.😊☃️❄️🎄🙏🎁

We can't afford the tractor yet, but thankfully, we have some neighbors who help us out from time to time for cheap. Our last big job was cleaning up about an acre or so after digging up 40 or so huge stumps and the resulting roots everywhere. The York rake he used was huge and it really cleaned up and smoothed things out. He'll be back in the spring with his monster PTO tiller to break up any remaining roots and debris and give it one last raking. My first two implements once we can afford the tractor will be a root rake/grapple and a York rake. We've got 30 acres to clean up (mostly forest, but a LOT of dead limbs and downed trees everywhere) and about 3 miles of logging roads we want to maintain. I made a vid of our neighbor using his York rake and it's amazing what one can do.

I have a steel lines chimney, but it’s mounted on a 3 story home that 40+ ft high The chimney feeds into a Vermont Casting wood stove, she needs a lot of cleaning … and probably a few inner parts .. I haven’t fired her up in over 7 years … I was burning green wood which caused the chimney to foul up .., I will fix her and do things the right way at this time , because waking up smelling smoke and looking up at the chimney and seeing sparks and ember flying out in the middle of winter.. was a experience. I quickly doss the fire in the stove with a bucket of water that caused the stoves inners to crack … then thankfully the temperature in the hose that I forget to store that winter with snow still on the ground .. was thankfully able to pass water through it and I aimed that way nozzle at the chimneys top to cool it down and doss the roof around the gutters … After that I grabbed the log tongs and grabbed the still hot logs and tossed them into a snow pile to cool off and be out the house.. and all that was 7 years ago without burning wood. 🪵

I keep backfilling the ruts on my driveway by hand. Delivery trucks usually dig in a bit on the uphill section. This would be a great replacement for my rake. Will it adapt to a UTV?

A supervisor once told me that if your wrists are uncovered, the blood flowing through your arteries gets cold and is unable to heat your hands and fingertips. But if you cover your wrists with wool, the blood flowing through your arteries stays warm and is able to warm your hands and fingertips, even with fingerless wool gloves. So I have two questions. One, do the gloves you're using cover your wrists? Two, if so, can you tell me the name brand? I need to get a couple of pair and they're hard to find.
@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid9 күн бұрын
Yes! They do cover the wrists! That makes so much sense! They’re merino wool minus 33. Here’s an Amazon affiliate if you’re interested(costs you nothing extra) amzn.to/3ZFQq9x

They are not good to -40. They're not good at all unless you're on the move. As of 12/15/24, they are $104. I take the clasp off and tie the laces as normal. I've had 2 previous pairs. Will be getting a 3rd pair. I'm a firewood vendor, and they don't last more than a season or two as they take a beating. They would last much longer under normal conditions. I'd recommend them. And yes, not good on ice.
