What about a completely flat dead battery will it start the car and if so how long do you give the noco attached and on before trying for the first crank start up? Also If the noco boost plus cant detect the battery it being completely flat?

I have tried to use these a few times in emergencies with no luck. I did not know these needed an override when batteries were too low etc. Well, next time lets see.

At least read the instructions before you do a review! The Noco has built in safety features... You're supposed to switch on the Noco AFTER you made the connection!...

I love this. I'd love to own one of these!!! We had a VW super beetle in orange. I've never seen one of these. Instead of the van life ppl are doing this would be much better. Just park in a KOA campsite. Then you could drive the care to stores, restaurants etc... I really want one of these!!! I guess, good luck on that!!!

Wow! Impressive! I actually already bought this because my car died (just moved back to cold country and forgot about this aspect-lol), and was looking for a “how to” video. After watching that, I happened to notice your video. I thought, well, if he proves it sucks, it’s not too late to return it. All I can say is that I now have zero buyer’s remorse. Thank you for doing a thorough review in awful conditions!

These have gotten a lot lower quality since you bought yours. The clamps are much smaller and thinner. It no longer ships with a charging cable or cigarette lighter adapter. The vendor calls this an "upgrade". That being said, the user manual still says to "Charge the product using the included charging cable.", so the upgrade is really just lowering their costs by eliminating parts of the original product. The user manual also warns against using charging options not included with the pack, so probably giving themselves cover to deny their warranty if it breaks. There are also now many recent reviews on Amazon which complain the the pack will not hold a charge.

WARNING: This guy repeatedly connects and disconnects battery improperly. On a negative grounded vehicle, connect positive clamp first and negative clamp last. Disconnect in reverse order.

7 year old video but wow crazy impressive Noco GB40 starting all those cars with dead battery’s. Also Project Farm channel did extensive testing in 2024 on multiple jump starters and Noco came in first place.

What a brilliant review and demos! I have just purchased one of these jump.starters off Amazon with same day delivery and I'm a 73 yr old lady living alone with no one to help me here in the UK . The booklet that came with this battery has such tiny writing in it that I couldnt read it properly and I needed to be shown how to use the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 on my 21 year old car, which wouldn't start 3 days ago and the battery completely drained at 2 attempts turning it over. I am going to use my GB Noco boost plus on my Hyuandai cdx 1.5ltr 21 year old car in a day or two's time, once storm Bert has left the UK. This was just the right video an old lady like me needed, and I thank you so very much. I really enjoyed watching it in easy to see instuctions and watching your video. Thank you so very much. From.Michelle in Essex UK. xx

This is such a great channel. Thanks for sharing your beautiful babies. I am so THRILLED I finally found one of these silver boxes on wheels in Indiana last month for $650. Though it has been sitting for about a decade let's hope I can get the handsome rectangle headlight 1986 beast running soon.

Wow, its nice but I dont think its practical nor legal, the trailer weight is more than the car, plus a 50 HP air cooled engine cant be going far in summer heat on the highways, specially that the air flow mostly blockeck by the mooseneck trailer and cant get to the rear engine compartment to cool the engine.

Carbs, plugs points and coils. I so miss the old stuff. Putting a long screwdriver on the rocker cover and holding the other end to your ear looking for sticky/worn valves. A man could pull down and rebuild 50's, 60's, 70's motors with 1 arm tied behind his back. Loved being up to my ass in grease and shit. Great video.
