Noco clams up to 20 starts on a charge. I'm impressed to see 6 on cars that are completely dead and sitting for a year

This is such a great channel. Thanks for sharing your beautiful babies. I am so THRILLED I finally found one of these silver boxes on wheels in Indiana last month for $650. Though it has been sitting for about a decade let's hope I can get the handsome rectangle headlight 1986 beast running soon.

I have an 11 window I restomodded with a modern TDI engine and full MK4 electrical harness and will get a velvet green Westfalia rat rod like this soon but I would TOTALLY LOVE a panelvan in any condition.

The weather was a little deceiving. Sunny and high 30’s when I left the shop. Got pretty cold in the upper elevations and I ended up riding home in snow storm. JC.

Wow, its nice but I dont think its practical nor legal, the trailer weight is more than the car, plus a 50 HP air cooled engine cant be going far in summer heat on the highways, specially that the air flow mostly blockeck by the mooseneck trailer and cant get to the rear engine compartment to cool the engine.

Carbs, plugs points and coils. I so miss the old stuff. Putting a long screwdriver on the rocker cover and holding the other end to your ear looking for sticky/worn valves. A man could pull down and rebuild 50's, 60's, 70's motors with 1 arm tied behind his back. Loved being up to my ass in grease and shit. Great video.

AS you travel out of Shoshoni,WY you head almost to Riverton, that place you thought you saw the blue VW I saw the sign where you turn off onto Missouri Valley Rd, you go to the end of that and make a right drive for some time then your in the small town of Paviillion, I live East of there.

The 81 and up models I did not like the horn assembly they are cheap and not very good, I swapped out a 79 horn assembly that is built better

There are Timing belt covers there I would really check those Timing belts DONT assume they are good.

You have to inspect the Timing belt if they go that is very catostrophic for those Diesel Engines. (NOT TDI though)
