How do I get a screen and how do you get the design to just stick on to it like that?

Been following you and got your press. I also purchased 2 of your online courses on your website. Press is still in the box though. I can’t seem to find a good size table for it. Would you care to share what table you’re using in this video for your press?

Are you able to clean your screens with the stencil on and not lose the stencil?
@pigskinsandpigtails17 сағат бұрын
This works best when you have a design you are going to use one time. If you have a design you want to use over and over, I’d recommend making a permanent screen- check out my video “Best Vinyl for Screen Printing with Cricut” to learn more about that!

With the heat gun, how long does it take to dry may I ask?
@pigskinsandpigtails17 сағат бұрын
That depends on the size of the design and the amount of ink, but typically it’s less than a minute for me. Just be sure to move the heat gun around constantly until it is dry to the touch.

Hello, thank you for this video. I've watched it several times as well as a few others while I waited for the base riser to arrive. Now that it's here, I'm receiving an error message: exceed the maximum measured distance. I started at 2a then moved it down then up but no change. I'm using the P2. Do you have any suggestions?
@pigskinsandpigtails8 күн бұрын
First just double check the red laser is hitting the highest point of the cup. Some colors/surfaces can be hard for the machine to recognize. Try putting a piece of masking tape or a post it note on the cup and measure again.Then you can remove the tape/paper before you start the engraving.

@pigskinsandpigtails19 күн бұрын
I do not pre-wash my shirts. If the ink is washing out, it has not been properly heat cured. Check out this video for tips on that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6rJnKR8qclqbKM

Wait, are you saying you use the vinyl to create the stencil? Or are you literally just using vinyl to screen print through instead of a emulsion?

For the first option for screen printing the adhesive vinyl , in the circuit do I put the white part facing down or the shinny side ?
@pigskinsandpigtails21 күн бұрын
With adhesive vinyl, you always want the vinyl facing up (the paper backing should be facing the mat)- remember to mirror your design!

This is a great video! I recently did my first emulsion screen too. It was super easy to do at home via DIY. I know Ryonet has that amazing set up in their studio but its super easy to do at home as well. I used their Emulsion for the screen and then use Speedball Flex ink. It washed out super nice and the sun cured/dried the screen so I could use it again within about 20 min. Looking forward to how you use this new tool in your studio with your new press (that I also have!).

Nice video again. How do you remove the emulsion from the screen? I have been trying emulsion with half tones at home, they come out pretty nice most of the time but the leave a shadow of the image on the screen when I reclaim it. Any suggestions? Thanx for the info. Also could you do a video on using emulsion at home since some of us may not have the equipment in the video?
@pigskinsandpigtails10 күн бұрын
I would start with an emulsion remover like this one: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/emulsion-stripper. If you still ahve some shadowing, Ryonet has some other products that might help. You can give them a call and ask one of the experts which product they recommend. I am working up the courage to try the emulsion process at home on my own! I'll be sure to share the process here when I do 😊

If using Cricut Design Space, it might also be possible to change the full image to “print then cut”, depending on the size of the image and the size your printer is able to print. Then you wouldn’t have to swap out the blade for the pen, and you would have the full design, rather than just the outline, which may make it easier to register the screens. Just a thought…

How do these cutters perform when cutting intricate designs. I find cricut and scan n cut cannot cut small script very well. I'm so tired of wasting expensive materials.
@pigskinsandpigtails29 күн бұрын
I mainly cut adhesive vinyl for screen printing and I have been able to cut some intricate designs with no issues! I can't speak to other materials since I haven't worked with those as much but I use this machine daily to cut vinyl without running into any issues!
