My photo looks distorted when engraving on a tumbler, it is long and skinny. How do I fix that?

Hello, thank you for this video. I've watched it several times as well as a few others while I waited for the base riser to arrive. Now that it's here, I'm receiving an error message: exceed the maximum measured distance. I started at 2a then moved it down then up but no change. I'm using the P2. Do you have any suggestions?

First just double check the red laser is hitting the highest point of the cup. Some colors/surfaces can be hard for the machine to recognize. Try putting a piece of masking tape or a post it note on the cup and measure again. Then you can remove the tape/paper before you start the engraving.

If I put mine on 100 power like that it burns the cup instead of being shiny it will be a dark burn color

You may need to adjust the settings depending on the brand you use - each coating may be a little different. Mine will often look burned when I take it out but if you use the cleaner I mention, it will clean off and look shiny!
