Been there, done that. If you check my other videos you I’ll see that before the Accu’s I had 2 and tried 4 Mola Mola’s. Even though they are great amps, nothing gets to the level of detail that only class A can provide 👍🏽

Hi crventura, very nice system. I was wondering what those puck shaped things are that I see sitting on top of a few of the components in the video?
@crventura Жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan, those are resonators from finite element a German company. They convert vibration in heat 😉

@@ngccglp There is not indeed, you need a properly set pair of subs to get there. But remember, subs in a system can only do one of two things; screw the sound or take you to music bliss ;)
@ngccglp2 жыл бұрын
@@crventura thanks, which is why I have held back on introducing subs. Currently I’m resorting to using a EQ to enhance the 30hz region. Just curious, why did you not put the DBLs back against the wall as recommended?
@crventura2 жыл бұрын
@@ngccglp simple, if you had the chance to listen to this system at my place you would see that the speaker desapegar in the room. That is accomplished by a meticulous choosing of the place for the speaker in the room, at the point where the mid bass is perfect and the image is 3D. At this location (sensible 1/3) of the back of the room you won’t be able to listen to sub bass for two reasons, you don’t get the necessary SPL and you won’t have the help of the room. That why you would need subs to complete the setup. This (in my opinion) is valid for any speaker setup. Now, why not set the speakers against the wall as they where design to ? The answer to this question is quite simple; because I have a dedicated listening room and I don’t have to compromise. If I had the system on a leaving room and had to put them against a wall I would gain on bass (the kind influenced by the room), the worst kind of bass you can get and on top of that, loose the 3D image, the disappearing act of the speakers and the punchy mid bass. That’s why 😉

Great system, have you tried plugging the amps directly into the wall to compare? Both users and high end amp manufacturers have said PS Audio power plants do some weird things to power and kills dynamics
@crventura3 жыл бұрын
Hi Divertiti, yes I did, there is no loss in anything. The difference is a great increment in resolution and tonal accuracy. On this system as opposed to my Naim system, you get the real sense that the musicians are there performing without making any use of electronics, as on the Naim you get the real sense of being at a live show. 👍🏽

@crventura4 жыл бұрын
Hi Evgeny, its very simple really, You connect the open reel to tape 2 on the Pre, and connect the Equalizer to tape 1. the tape deck goes on tape 2 input/outputs on the Equalizer. Now the tricky part; on the EQ tape 1 in, you connect the dynamic expander out and on the Dynamic Expander in you connect the reverb unit out. Finally the Reverb unit in gets the EQ out .This way you have the three units daisy chained and you can use de defeat switch on every one to check the effect on each one. Hope that helps ;)
