How do you get to the add noise button on Photoshop for Windows? Nice video by the way I saved it.

Why did you choose to shift appature to shift the exposure as compared to ISO or shutter speed?
@Flannerymedia2 ай бұрын
All of them are perfectly good options in the right context because every variable that controls how much light enters your camera has positives and negatives. Raising your ISO can introduce noise into your image and I almost never want that. Lowering the shutter speed may introduce more light but also might not allow me avoid motion blur. I chose aperture here because it was an easy example. But there may be downsides to opening up your aperture too much like if you let in too much light or your depth of field becomes so narrow that you cant properly get your entire subject in focus. (Like if you’re at f1.2 and have 3 people in your shot. Almost impossible to make sure all three are in focus).
@ryankowalik79042 ай бұрын
So one second it said select subject. Then it cuts to a new screen that says generative fill. I see the select subject but it outlines the whole subject how do I get to highlight my own target?
@Flannerymedia2 ай бұрын
@@ryankowalik7904 click and hold the selection tool and you’ll have different options available. It sounds like yours is defaulting to the subject selection tool. Try the lasso selection or magnetic lasso tool.

Sorry about that. In the "Develop" tab it is the Circle to the right side underneath the histogram. Alternatively you can hit Shift W as a shortcut on Mac.

how do I remove pimples?
@Flannerymedia2 ай бұрын
You can use the spot heal tool in Lightroom or the clone stamp heal in Photoshop or give generative fill a try. Also there’s a plug-in called retouch4me that has a heal tool that is amazing!

Thank you for your tutorials, as they are very informative and I have learned a lot! I have both both versions of Lrc and Lr (mobile), and am curious to know if you use both? I am learning and want to really capture the warm and creamy skin tones and bokeh effect dreamy backgrounds. I am not sure which lightroom version I should use. Thank you!
@Flannerymedia4 ай бұрын
Thank you SOOO much for the encouragement! I sometimes use Lightroom CC/Mobile for one-off images and quick edits. But Lrc has a lot more features for editing multiple photos, syncing them them for making minor changes to an entire series that would then transfer to the rest, as well as being WAYYYY better for a large amount of different projects being physically local backups. In CC you're forced to pay for cloud storage and can't use custom backup features. My recommendation is to use LRC because it's easier to switch to CC later if you need to but very difficult to go from CC to LRC if you run out of room or hit its limitations and have to move to LRC.

IMO, there is almost no way to remove this much fly away hair and make it look natural. People have fly away hair in the real world. I've been using photoshop's generative fill since Beta, with about the same results as you've been getting, and when I show both options side by side to folks they almost always choose to go with the one with the fly away hair. because once they see them side by side they especially notice it doesn't look natural,

Exposing to the left is wrong, because camera sensors have linear response to light. The only effect of exposing to the left is increasing quantization error by using fewer bits to represnt values (that introduces banding). You get exactly the same result in terms of tones (but with less noise and less banding) if you expose correctly and then pull down the exposure in post.

Definitely still in its infancy! Can be super useful in some situations for smaller edits, but generally I think it's quite far from being useable in every situation.

I agree. It tried some instances of removing glare and that one didn't really work too well. Honestly, it's probably just a matter of time though.
