I think the moonlight 4k Walksnail is superior to dji, they have the adapter which allows it so you don't have to use goggles and can use a field monitor with that alone allows it so you don't have to keep the goggles on!

I'm really late to finding this video but is there a video on how to make this 18650 Battery Clip? I would love to make one and see how well it works for my needs and possible sell a few lipo batteries. I don't do any racing or freestyle only smooth cinematics and would love to get 15-20min flight time on my 5" fpv. Also if there some sort of covering you could use or make incase of a crash so the batteries wont fall out and to protect the exposed wires and contact points?

"Take the whole goggles apart, takes alot of time, voids warranty... " ..dude.. its 2 screws and takes like 1.5 minutes, completely reversable, no warranty void, if anyone even has a pair with warranty anymore.. lol 😅

Scaling up the drone size requires scaling up the battery size/capacity. A proper 7" build would definitely beat the 4" in range and payload.

The moment the batteries were added to the drone, the drone became a lethal weapon. In my country, you would be immediately arrested for engaging in terrorist activities by putting something that dangerous on display.

Hei man ! great video ! thanks for the work. I tried checking some of the part links and apparently some parts are not available anymore. Would it be possible to update those ? would be a huge help ! also, what type of camera would you recommend to have better quality , but still be able to use it on this type of drone ? Thanks so much, just bought my first 3D printer and I always wanted a drone so, what better method than starting with your own diy one !

Would love to see this reprinted and retested with the new Bambu PLA Aero which claims up to 50% less weight for similar PLA print. Love the video even a couple years after as I am looking into options for cheap "recon" drones for quick flights to survey an area to ascertain what the area looks like as well as targets. Cool print and hope to making one soon for myself!

Hey Dave What kind of remote transmitter and antennas do you recommend for maximum long range flying with the Rekon 35? For FPV I was thinking Fatsharks with a Runcam Night Eagle. Will you recommend your preferences? Thanks

Hi Dave C! I admire your effort in designing interesting quad projects. I have printed and tested your Nanon LR on one 18650. I'm considering adding one more 18650 (2 pcs in total) on the same frame. Configured in series. Removing the 5V stepup circuit. How do you think this would work? Not the motors and props you have on the Recon 35. Any chance it would fly, og getting to heavy for the originale motors and props you recommend for the "stock" nano LR one 18650 cell? Your reply would be much appreciated!

Hi! I really like this quad. My friend printed a 1.6 cm longer tpu cam mount, so the props are not in view. Now I have only one problem, wich to sell, this or my orher Dave C desing, the Baby Croc 4 inch :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2SpfnWjebmbfcksi=UXGo7p7Lfd_iWx5S I fly both on 3s liions, the Croc has 18650 3000, the Rekon5 has 21700 4000. Both like the 3s setup, but the Croc is way weaker on 3s. The Rekon handles it very well and I can fly 100+ km/h on 3s with it.

Hello Dave, I know this is an old video but I built one of these packs inspired by you ...the question is, what are the eligible drones I can use it with? can I use it with any 4" that takes 4S like a Chimera 4? I just need some reference for my next build... Thank you so much!!

i know this is very old post but im thinking about something similiar for my 1 meter wingspan fixed wing, will use 40A t-motor motor. What you think? It will melt the plastic or even springs etc?
