Should've been shut down and rmced. The park is just going to be opening a multi launch coaster in 2025. What it really needs is a pair of flat rides to replace those lost (3 of them) in 2026 near superman and rmc el Toro in 2027. Can wait on another multi launch later. Or everything a year sooner since they got flash on discount and could surely buy like a zamperla endeavor at the very least.

I think that This park is going to be ok, No one else has a stronghold in New England and people come up to do Lake Compounce and SFNE like I did in 04 (and we won family of the day...which I didn't know was a thing). Sadly the picture they took was lost when my basement flooded :(. but I still have the shirt and the mug. This park has Wicked Cyclone and Superman still good rides despite the new restraints and the Mind bender has recieved better restraints making it the best SLC ever during the switch to Riddler's Revenge.

With Carowinds announcing the closure of drop zone, right beside their hurler wooden coaster, I think your hybrid coaster idea is very likely to happen.

Do you think they’ll change i305 theming to match the jungle expedition area better? I think they should. It would be cool to do a retheme and then a grand reintroduction of the coaster to the public.

Dorney Park really needs to be updated in some areas of the park. For roller coasters, I think the plot of land where Dinosaurs Alive is, the land near the lake below Steel Force and Hydra, and the neglected pavilions below the Ferris Wheel can fit brand new roller coasters. My list would be a wooden coaster, a family launch coaster, and another looping coaster. As for flat rides, I think a Disk'O, large screaming swing, an updated Enterprise type ride (Like Sol Spin at King's Island), a ride like Time Twisters at Waldameer and Jolly Ranchers at Hersheypark, plus some new kiddie rides for Planet Snoopy. As for the waterpark, they are removing Lighting Falls and Cascade. I think they need to remove Kid's Cove, Lollipop Lagoon, and Splash Landing. Those children's areas are outdated and look old. They need to build a brand new children's waterpark attraction that is up-to-date. A waterslide coaster, or those giant slides with giant bowls should be added to the park. In terms of potential ride removals, I think Possessed, Apollo, and Enterprise are next on the chopping block.

So technically any theme park can be destroyed

Universal blows Disney out of the water. They need more dark rides/ experiences and cull some of their screen rides, but they're definitely on the right path.

If we take a look at the history of major coaster investments, they get what CP got 20 years prior (hyper, invert, giga) or a woodie (mystic timbers), so my bet for 2026 is a solid modern multi-looper, but nothing "world class" because thats just not the kind of park it is for coaster investment. They'll get something everyone enjoys, but nothing too extreme. The business model between Cedar Point and Kings Island is pretty clear by now. With such close proximity, the regional park needs to maintain its family friendly atmosphere to continue drawing people, especially those who tack on an extra day or two for kings island when they already plan to make a Cedar Point trip

B&M flyer is a bad choice, mainly because restraints are problematic and that would create a low throughput. I havent seen anywhere running these that doesn't stack trains most of the time. If Kings Islands next coaster isnt a large scale attraction I assume the one to follow would be. Intimin or RMC would be my first pick, but Mack or Vekoma could be amazing as well. Kings Island has the land, attendance draw, and a stacked lineup so anything is possible. With all the new six flags parks not sure if Kings Island is their 2 favorite anymore, but even if not I still expect them to get a lot of capital expenditures over the next 5-10 years.

It must be remembered that the plot formally occupied by the Vortex is small. The Vortex was basically a spaghetti bowl. I think what they put there will certainly be gimmicky but hopefully really good too. I think their magnum opus will wait till the end of the decade when they take down Invertigo and build a crazy "entry way" coaster. We'll see!

You cant just compare Lake Compounce to SF. Lake Compounce isnt a thrill ride park, but a "Family Amusement Park" It is THE oldest theme park in the United States. You don't go to Compounce to ride roller coasters. You bring the family to enjoy scenery, learn history of the area, ride a few rides with the kids, and even camp next to the park. The oldest coaster in the park is nearly 100 years old. The carousel is from 1911. Comparing Lake Compounce to SFNE is like saying a model-T car cant compete with a Tesla. Each have their own charms, but on a technical level, of course SFNE will come out on top. That doesn't mean Compounce isn't worth visiting. Its just not meant to be any sort of competition to SF.

Magic Mountain has 20 coasters. The new company would be wise to invest invest in infrastructure, staff training/recruitment and theme/service elements before adding additional rides.

Candymonium is one of the best B&M Hypers and maybe Hershey will get a Giga if great adventure gets one

You do not need to add a new roller coaster every two or three years. They have many coasters now that are great.

August 2025. Kings Island will announce the Mack Extreme Spinner. Take it to the bank. They will even have that area where the batwing was with some crazy inversion elements.

As far as all of us would love a giga, I don't see it happening. Busch Gardens is on top of an aquifer. There is already an issue out by the retention ponds. With how things are running at BGT right now, I think they are focusing all finances toward Wild Oasis, Jungala refurbishment. Now with all this tightening of the budget and watching every penny could be that they are saving up for the giga.

So many errors in this video... first Goliath was closed in 2019 while they tried to find a solution to the issues. it was actually removed prior to the start of the 2024 season. As for coasters.. you are failing to mention that the park is limited on space with a RIVER (not a lake) on one side, a major road on the other, housing to the south, and industrial to the north... with Goliath gone, it may see a new coaster in the near-ish future (after it is designed and whatnot) As for lack of investment.. they have added many flat rides during recent years, including Spinsanity, Supergirl Sky flyer, and others.. they've also done a lot of needed maintenance that had been lacking in years past. With the Cedar Fair merger, Six Flags New England will likely see better theming, more rides (that can fit in the existing park, and more. To claim that the park is in trouble is just click bait and false claims. Not to mention that with 2020's covid crisis (the year Supergirl was set to open) everything got pushed back and revenues for the following year took a hit with Massachusetts' restrictive covid policies limiting park operations in the 2020 and 2021 seasons (with attendance not returning to normal at most parks until after 2022 or 2023 seasons).

Dorney’s world record drop, Hercules, wooden roller coaster in 1989 was a huge accomplishment for Dorney Park as a small local park. I can’t believe that it wasn’t even mentioned…

BGT really needs a dark ride

Busch Gardens needs more flate rides all over the park so the guest has different things to do when they are in inside the park don't get me wrong I love roller coasters but I like more things to ride them coasters.

Kings Island needs something like the Steel Vengeance! That would be a perfect fit in the Vortex’s old location!

cedar point has broken all records, the first over 100 feet, the second over 200 , the first over 300ft and of course the first over 400 ft , surly now the time has come to build a MASSIVE coaster over 500ft, this would be very expensive, but surly this would be by far the greatest rollercoster EVER built and would put cedar point back on the top of the pile as the greatest roolercoaster park on the planet

I would love to see a single rail, dive coaster, and less likely an RMC Hybrid.

Per Ryan Eldridge during the Winter Chill the rough five-year plan includes "dynamic" additions to the waterpark, extending the Steel Yard (painting Possessed, additional flat rides and a restaurant) and a family coaster. Said that there is too large of a gap between Woodstock's Express and their other coasters. Believes the old Dinosaurs Alive site is the "no brainer" but also said the park is looking at ways to make use of the lake down near Demon Drop. Called it an "unused asset".
