I respect your opinion. But CP is THE amusement park lol. Kings island doesn’t have any answers for CPs Rides. Dorney won’t be sold off. They just got a brand new dive. I don’t think any of the parks will be sold off. Their lesser parks might not have the attendance or make the big bucks but they run solid profit margins and don’t take anything to maintain them. And their attendance base is mostly regional and they are fine with the rides they have so they don’t need to be tossed a new ride every year.

Great adventure is not really a competitor to Dorney Park... Hershey is its closest competitor... and PA has a lot of families and they prefer Hershey because it is tailored to adults and small children... I mean come on... Chocolate... you can't beat chocolate. However, a park you didn't mention, actually a few... are more geared towards the family unit. Dorney and Hershey still compete with Knoebels. While not a park with major attractions and only 6 coasters, Knoebels is free to get in, free to park and costs less for an all day ride pass, and has enough attractions for everyone. Not too mention it has 3 campgrounds very close, one of which is on park grounds. Knoebels is based on Nostalgia, they buy a lot of the classic rides you don't see anymore and rarely add modern attractions... Impulse was their last modern attraction, but knoebels draws its crowds from all over the united States... plus when surveyed guests claim Knoebels is much safer than Dorney and Hershey. Knoebels restricts the bus trips... they allow them but not 7 or 8 different bus loads of folks at a time... they keep it family oriented. Dorney suffers from a lot of crime... fights break out regularly and back in 2000 had to introduce armed guards... something Hershey and Knoebels did not have to do and still don't do. The other small parks geared towards children are sesame place and Dutch wonderland... they draw crowds but those same families will make the 90 min to 2 hour trek to Knoebels simply because it is cost effective. A family of 4 can buy all day ride passes for $220 at Knoebels (mon-Friday), if mom and dad don't do a lot of rides they can just buy for the kids, and if they choose to ride mom and dad can buy some tickets for $20.00 which will get them a few rides with their kids, so you're still under $200 at this point. Hershey costs $90 to get in and $20 to park, so family of 4 will cost $380 to just park and get in... that doesn't include the overpriced horrible park food, Knoebels is always rated in the top 5 for best park food. and you can feed a family of 4 a good meal for less than $50... try that at Hershey or even Dorney. Dorney $20 to park and $80 pp to get in not you're at $340.00 and you question your safety... plus keep in mind everyone pays to get in, even if you don't ride... this is why knoebels wins with families... it costs nothing to walk into the park. Dorney definitely got left int he dust... and TBH Cedar Fair didn't even wanna spend the $20 million for the new Iron Menace, but when they cancelled the Gravity Group shuttle woody due to the pandemic, they couldn't get into Gravity Groups schedule, so they had to spend the money on Iron Menace. It was either that or relocate another coaster... which may happen under 6 flags as Six flag America is going to remove their flying dutchman Vekoma (Batman) and I most likely see that going to Dorney Park... Cedar Fair and 6 Flags had to merge because both companies had so much debt it was best to join forces, but the current 6 flags CEO who IMHO ruined the 6 flags experience is still in charge so I expect more decline and higher prices. Knoebels is due for another major coaster and keeping with their classic theme it will most likely be another wooden coaster as there are 3 separate plans for wood coaster drawn up by the head of maintenance John Fetterman. a racing Woodie, a Junior Woodie, and a mountain terrain woodie that would utilize the mountain the sky ride is located on.... The terrain is the most likely winner, but the racer would be at the back of the camping ground area and race around the pioneer train and through Twisters structure. while racing into the turn arounds at the back of the camp ground. Knoebels also has something going for it Dorney does not... SPACE. Knoebels is much bigger than it looks, and total land owned by knoebels exceeds the land owned by Dorney park... imagine if knoebels used all that land to expand. Not too mention, Hershey and Cedar Fair made offers to Knoebels as far back as the early 90's and they were rejected as the park has been int he family since it opened. Dick Knoebel's son RIck Knoebel now does day to day management... but Dick knoebels still can over ride Rick and he does as Rick does want to modernize the park a bit and Dick wants to keep it classic. But Dorney's biggest problem isn't investment, it is it's reputation... the overall feeling is Dorney is not safe due to the constant issues with guests getting into fights and theft of the shops, people don't want to deal with that BS anymore.

I only like epcot has some fun rides but mostly i just go for the food so i only go ever few years i like rollacoasters with loops and drops and more thrill for this reason i spend most of my theme park fun at busch gardens/ seaworld universal once a year cus its pricey like disney but less so and i get more value for what i like

I was 9 years old and at the soft opening at Six Flags Great Adventure on July 3rd 1974. Runaway train was my first rollercoaster ever. Living in the same county (Ocean County) I was a pass holder almost every year. I also work at Six Flags Great Adventure in 1983, 1984, 1985, then 1990, 1991 and 1992. I was an operator of both The Great American Scream Machine and Shockwave stand up coaster. I was there when the haunted house caught on fire and the girl who fell out of lightning loops. Great Adventure will always be my number #1 park even though I moved to Florida, I still visit it every year. I still have my photo work badges from back then. I remember the TWICKET they used to have and so much more. Can't wait to see the park again for my 50th year visiting on August 22nd. Thanks for the memories and I could tell you a lot of what we all did back in the early years of the park.

You forgot Knotts Berry Farm reimagining of MonteZOOMa, it's 2025. Technically not new, and even though the park has the highest attendance of all six flags and cedar fair parks, it STILL hasn't gotten a BIG coaster since 2004's Silver Bullet, and 1998's Ghostrider. Key word being "BIG" coaster.

All the US based parks need to cone up with something to rival even half of what falcons flight is going to be. Its sad Carowinds gave up so much of its land they could have done SO much over time.

Carowinds is getting the same family coaster that wonderland recently received. KDs wing coaster is definitely well underway in terms of construction although still no track or supports have arrived on site just yet. Some of the recently poured footers for this project have gotten quite close to tumbili so this ride is definitely going to be massive. Looks like I've finally got a reason to renew my pass for the first time since the pandemic. Also what with the success of both jungle X and kids adventure Port area's along with Carowinds recent aeronautica expansion I wouldn't be surprised if cedar fair decides to focus on these extensive immersive rethemes at more of their parks as it's obviously well worth the added expense.

I honestly doubt on SFGAdv getting another coaster for 2025 just because Flash wasn't their planned 50th anniversary coaster unless if they're activly working on making it happen

Personally, Ill consider Sfgadv as a multi day resort once I consistently see vlogs where the park has good operations at least 2 trains on moderately busy days, very few rides closed, etc... i mean zoomanjaro is closed now after toro and ka had their own month or full year closures.. 👀 I hope the locals. Can help them grow but I'm can't make a big journey there without a better in-park situation.. maybe I'll end up there anyways but not do the"resort" amenities and have my mind changed

Why does CP only care about coasters but along the way they remove unique flats, slow rides like two car rides (they still have Cadillac Cars), Space Spiral, two dark rides (Pirate Ride and Disaster Transport which really was a bobsled coaster in the dark), a few flume rides, Paddlewheel Excursions and now Snake River Expedition, etc.? Don't they care about families and rides that families can ride together? They still have the Sky Ride and steam train. Are they trying to attract young thrill seekers with these extreme, tall, and super fast coasters? Some rides have so many G forces it's like being an astronaut in a rocket being blasted into space. I won't ride fast rides and coasters. I live near Dorney Park in PA. I like Haunt in the fall at Dorney Park.

Wonderland needs to RMC their woodies, they're just not considered anywhere near world class. To have a world class park with their current woodies would be a disaster!

Canadas wonderland(my home park) is the most attended seasonal park in North America. It’s a great park and to my knowledge has the highest number of coasters, other than cedar point. I’m hoping for an Intamin. Cedar Faire execs were down in Orlando checking out Velocicoaster about 4-6 months ago. So I’m hoping that’s a good sign. We don’t need another B&M 😊

I hope they just make it a hundred feet higher and make the launch 150=mph so it will forever hold both the titles
