Just seeing you back in this kitchen feels like a warm hug! 🤗 And about your colors - I think you might be a winter, maybe true winter? You look incredible in cool saturated colors! Lots of contrast. Second to that maybe a true summer? I keep thinking of how that berry/burgundy color you dyed your wedding dress is like your perfect shade.

What you said about the quality of sleep you get at your parents' house is so true for me as well, my parents live in northern Canada in a very small and quiet town, my childhood bed is so comfortable, and every time I sleep there nothing wakes me before my body naturally wakes on its own, it's not usual for me to sleep for ten to twelve hours at a time. I'm in my 30s with a busy life, so that never happens anywhere else other than there!

Love the silent long cooking video from your parents kitchen. The house looks so beautiful and cozy. Can you tell me about the traditions in the UK related to housing - I hear you have two siblings, so when kids grow up and leave parents home is it common to downsize for parents, or to change the location near bigger towns to access healthcare etc?
@SustainablyVeganАй бұрын
Yes! I have an older sister and an older brother. So this isn't the house we grew up in. We grew up in a house in London and when I moved to university my parents decided they no longer wanted to live in London and wanted to live in the countryside so they bought this house (about 10 years ago). I think they would have downsized but they wanted space for everyone to be able to visit and stay throughout the year and at Christmas etc. They didn't anticipate that my brother would move out of London and move closer to them, nor my sister splitting her time between sussex and London too. Most of my friends parents still live in London, and considering house prices have skyrocketed, the idea of selling and moving seems like a bad choice as they've lived in those houses for over 30 years!

@arioctober110Ай бұрын
my hard earned secret to good tofu scramble = keeping it moist! i always add a splash or two of alt milk to mine so it's more saucy than chunky, and make sure to add plenty of seasoning as well (usually coriander, nooch, garlic powder and paprika for me + often a splash of tamari and/or worcestershire), and i like to cook the base veggies in vegan butter for that extra bit of flavor!

If you want to do your colors yourself, i just tried doing it myself and it was really fun! I started by seeing what clothes I had that I really loved and kind of “dissecting” what I liked about it (specifically color). Then I went to the fabric store with a mirror and hold solid fabrics up to my face and seeing how I felt against my skin. It was fun, especially with a friend. :)

Colour analysis! So I did one and I can tell you right now, that you are the fall-ish type with 1) warm colours, 2) muted colours, 3) darker colours. I am similar only i have fewer contrast between my skin and hair, so i look best in mid-contrast colours. So you'd look great in like a deep warm red, a hazel brown, a yellow ochre, or an olive green or something. Your hat is beautiful, only it's a bit too cold coloured or light for the 'perfect colour analysis' match, but F*ck the colour analysis sometimes :') just wear whatever you want! But you're definitely fall, too I'd say :D

Yes it absolutely has. I've spoken about it a lot on instagram, and tbh it's really devastating for both me and my husband. We have had a lot of very serious conversations about when we should move, and how we would go about doing that. We aren't ready to move back to the UK and we're not ready to start a family but the future here is very very scary. The problem is that it's expensive to move and we will need to go through the whole visa process for my husband to move to the UK so no matter what everything will take a lot of time, and a lot of things are out of our control. We are both truly horrified by the election result.
