The thing I don’t understand around Tony’s “cancellation” with this, is that everyone knew what Tony’s comedy was like, and what he’s known for, prior to this? AND all the comedians he roasts and takes the piss out of actually know Tony is going to use the race/accent/stereotype card where and when he can, so it wasn’t some out of the blue shit he said and the audience were shocked and appalled lol, he does this CONSTANTLY, it’s his BRAND. The pathetic thing is that there’s a lot of comedians on KT who actively deserve criticism around coming off try-hard edgy and racist, because they’re all trying to be just like Tony, except they don’t understand that nothing is off limits within comedy AS LONG AS IT’S FUNNY, and their sets aren’t funny, they’re a bland, tasteless rebrand of jokes Tony has already told, a million times before, but because they’re not real comedians they can’t see WHY people laugh at Tony’s “offensive” jokes, they just convince themselves that it’s funny BECAUSE it’s racist, when that’s not the case at all. They think getting on stage and saying “hahahah did you hear about the (insert slur) that (insert offensive stereotype)? Hahaha what a (insert slur)” is comedy because that’s what they see Tony’s comedy as (the more offensive = the funnier) but it just doesn’t work like that. Their material isn’t good, Tony’s IS, that’s the problem. The people Tony points his jokes at often use their own race as the butt of their own jokes? So it’s free rein when he roasts them. A lot of amateur comics just don’t seem to understand the concept of writing their own original comedy sets, and therefore it’s easier to take the shock comic route (and do it badly)
