I disagree about not having a strong closing bit. As a stand up fan I judge a special by the closer. The reason it gets turned off is bad pacing on your part not a lack of attention span on ours. If the best jokes are in the middle and you phone it in half the time, of course everyone turns it off. Treat it like two half hour sets or four fifteen minute sets and you can clip it and bring us back if we can’t watch an hour you tube video.

As a goy who actually went to a Wesleyan bible school for years as I kid, I totally got the dandruff beard joke and thought it was fantastic. Jew is by far one of the best specials out there (if not the best) and seeing it in person, without all the fancy candles and cuts, was just as great. It’s super cool to hear the thought process behind the whole thing. A true comedy genius.

I’m not an insider, just a comedy fan, so I didn’t go in thinking about your strategy. When you hit the second smartest race bit, followed by “Koreans “, from my perspective as a fan, it was masterful. First time in my life I’ve felt like someone was inside my mind reading my actual thoughts in real time. Now, after listening to this, I realize you actually were in my mind, controlling it like a puppet master. Easily one of my favorite jokes ever. Precise and masterfully executed.
