Yes, in previous videos I mentioned cutting just behind the line to get that extra mm of space under the stem.

How about a rim brake all-arounder frame for 2025?
@Primifluous7 күн бұрын
Haven't seen anyone do a 650b conversion on the recent Rando frame, but that would do it if the something like tektro 559 brakes can reach. On the other hand I'm pretty sure long reach Mafac center pulls or Dia Compe 750 would reach no problem.

How do you know what size bottom bracket to use on a new frame
@velo_orange9 күн бұрын
It depends on the crankset. This crankset requests a 113. Our 50.4 asks for a 118 for example.
@JonHanson-v1w10 күн бұрын
I can't understand who decided that shifting was complicated with dt shifters. Put the derailleur where you want it, then ride some more. Having to make sure that your chain, derailleur, rear cogs and shifters are all indexed the same is not a solution. There was never a problem to begin with.
@Josukegaming10 күн бұрын
Hi Igor, I love your vibes! I wonder why you didn't give the Neutrino a folding mechanism or break away points? I feel like that would make this an instant buy for me. As is, it's not as small as a folding bike, and not quite as comfy as a full size bike.
@velo_orange9 күн бұрын
Thank you! There are already a ton of folding bikes in all sorts of flavors on the market. Many years ago, we wanted to improve on what mini velos were available in an underserved market.

For the most part, they are the same. We did away with the internal downtube routing because it was seldom used.
Great build! Is this a build you would do for customers, and, if so, can you estimate the cost?

Yes, this exact one is on the site. Add a frame and build kit to your cart: velo-orange.com/collections/neutrino-mini-velo It's $1995 shipped in the lower 48 in USA.

Thank you. I've been trying to gather info about building one of these, but there's surprisingly little information out there. Would an IGH work on this frame, and any chance of a belt drive option in the future?
@velo_orange15 күн бұрын
Yep, an IGH would be fine. We may do a split for a belt in the future, but it would be a ways away. I've seen people do the VEER before. Those look neat but I haven't tried it yet.

Is that instant coffee, instant always in jars in this part of the world (Ireland). I like the look of this frame but struggling to find sizing info on the whole mini velo thing. I'm 6'2" - could you do something to show the size jump between the frames and the position to expect i.e. what does a 6'2" person look like on a XXL frame.
@velo_orange16 күн бұрын
It's instant and acceptable for caffeine lol. I think you'd be more comfortable on an XXL vs the L. Miles reviewed the XXL on Bikepacking: bikepacking.com/bikes/velo-orange-neutrino-review/

I have a Dahon P9 which runs 20" wheels and I just love it to bits. When push comes to shove, I ride more than my other bikes combined because its my commuter and I'll use for any other task because of its convenience. These bikes are no slouches, and yes they are perfect for inter city commutes they they zip along. I run 54 chainring plus a 9 speed cassette and can handle everything except really long hard climbs >12%. Love the Neutrino Frame, all the details, and when it comes to retire the Dahon, it looks the absolute business as an aLL ROAD MINI-velo.
