Where do you get the gasket from? I've got a lathe and want to make my own HPA core, but the gasket looks very.. specific. Is that printed TPU or a purchased part?

I wonder for the drilling jig piece that you had to mill if you could have printed it standing up such that neither reference face is facing the build plate. To avoid drooping on the top of the plunger pocket a trick is to make the top part of the cylinder a tear drop so the last bit is no longer an overhang.

@Thedprintingpotato
@Thedprintingpotato Жыл бұрын
do you have measurments for the pvc and brass?
@foam_blaster
@foam_blaster Жыл бұрын
The pvc is 1\2" and the brass size will depend on the darts you use. If your darts are thinner you will need 17/32 barrel with a 9/16 slide breach. If your darts are fat you will need 9/16" for tour barrel and the next size up for the slide. I don't have the length measurement. This build is 100% by eye. Guess and check type work. I may have mentioned some dimensions in the video but i dont remember.

@daniel murray I'd also love stuff like that. The history of old NIC blasters is really valuable, oddly enough. HOTH from n-rev basically designed the elite style setup to a T like 7 years before the retaliator first used it. I strongly suspect that someone at hasbro was browsing forums and copied it. It's way too similar. Hoths was polycarb and brass, was in a longstrike,and could support a k-26 though. I actually acquired it and have the internals still.

Love this. It looks so clean! I hope older homemade stuff makes a comeback. So fun. And really gets people familiar with mechanical engineering. I'm not in that industry. But I already know I'd do well simply because of all the blasters I made as a kid. Critical thinking goes through the roof making stuff like this. Very good job, man. Cleanest guru I've seen in a looooong time. Also, seeing as you're not too worried about max power, the rscb's look so sick on the guru. Especially with rear loading holes at the hump on top. I've only seen it done that way once. I think it was ahtanies? it looked awesome.
@foam_blaster
@foam_blaster Жыл бұрын
Yes, I hope they make a comeback too. Iv never been a fan of rscb personally. They also put a lot of stress on the shell because this blasters plunger volume is too low. It will fire but its not ideal
@darkmatter69420
@darkmatter69420 Жыл бұрын
@daniel murray didn't know that! But it makes sense. Too much extra space= less pressure buildup. And if a dart doesn't make it in the barrel, it'll just dry fire, which suuuuucks. Still looks sick, though, hahaha. I need to track down a revshot. Wanted one for so long. They're so fun. Modman712 is apparently about to start making rainbowpumps again. I gotta buy one of those since NoM doesn't make them anymore.
