Oh Great Interview!! And I watched everything on your channel twice or more. You sir are very funny well versed in the past and present of Tattooing and have great interviews with Tattooers I would get a chance to meet in person. So your videos provide that need to see what other really think and their principles of Tattooing. Keep up the good work!😎🫵

Just my Guess…But the HIV Tattoo is a Trap Tattoo. Hear me out …A group of Jocks surrounding him All are Mocking him…and pushing him around. Then All of a sudden he grabs his sleeve of his shirt and with motion of hast he reveals HIV in Big Bold Letters. Now make no mistake the letters are in no way subtle or subdued. They are Letters of Warning made to be read from a distance. And as the jocks freeze in fear with the thought they ALL Touched him with eyes wide from Shock. During this time lil Jonathan Davis has his chance to shock and awe. So he starts spitting like a Cobra, from one Jock to another like a circle jerk reversed Bukake. With sense of urgency and panic of over grown muscle men fleeing for their very lives. And with a moment of victory lil Johnny rolls down his sleeve to reset the trap. As he mutters under his breath…”Worth It!”😂😂😂

As much as I love this podcast and Filip Leu's work. I really don't agree that everyone who gets tattooed or wants a lot should saved and wait to get a full body suit... its not for everyone and because of the finances of it it may never be a reality. plus we all don't want one massive tattoo piece. as much as I fully respect and appreciate those pieces it is not for me. but like I said much love and respect his body suits are breathtaking to see.

Amazing story but the extended version was messed up. I had to turn it off. Voluntary removing a hand is fucked up.

Hey Andrew! I accidentally saw your channel and I was pleasantly surprised. Very cool, thank you. I also do podcast with russian legendaty artists. Once at a convention in Germany my friend really surprised Philip and Paul Booth with his work. It was the mid 90's.

Dedicated well versed tattooist from when I started here, about the 5th time I’ve listened to this for inspiration. What a great position to be in one day when it’s earned to be able to, not just pick and chose, but to have made a place for yourself to be in the trade off back end of the hard work you’ve done to tattoo how you like. I love it. I’ll keep listening to this again and again.

@@andrewstortz your house is on youtube and trying to earn money. Do your job better or you won't get customers (viewers). You're also advertising as teaching beginners but having no actual tattooing skills included, which could make you responsible for young beginners seriously screwing someone's body up because they don't actually have the necessary knowledge. Just do better.

That was very nice of Filip Leu to grant this channel an interview. I think the “tattooing made easy” went over like a plane. This is a man of respect who deserves the utmost respect. This man is tattooing in every sense of the word. Again, it was very kind of him to give you his time and space. Thank you Mr. Leu

Listening to this interview was such a pleasure. I've come to a deep love of tattooing over the years of getting inked, and my tattooer recommended your podcast. What a privilege to be able to listen to a legend like Filip Leu. He's so self-effacing, but really I don't think it can be overstated how generous he is to share 40 years of lived experience, careful thought, and love toward the craft. Fantastic approach on your part as well, to just sit back and listen with us instead of being a host who showboats and eats up the air. Leu's measured calm leaves me feeling of being settled and clarified after listening -- really a rare gift!

Question; do the Japanese tattooers with their tabori methods use different kinds of ink? I saw them like prepare everything themselves…

I do get that tattoo artist complain about regulation’s but I question why they seem not concerned about the potentiality that their artwork might damage their clients health… 🤷

Thankyou so much for this wonderful interview with an absolute icon of the industry. I have been a fan of filip's art since I first saw it many years ago, he spoke so many truths in this interview and his approach is how ut should be. It baffles my mind that customers have the privilege to be tattooed by him but want arr that isn't his! If I was ever in that position to be tattooed by him I would just let him go wild with his amazing dragons and flow. Heavy black and grey all day, just like his ink paintings I am so thankful to have found this podcast you did a wonderful job in the production I look forward to seeing more! Much respect 🙏

Your voice and his monk-like energy made this a nice way to start the day. I think it must have been a nice segue by spending a day before jumping in. Going cold would have made me lose my shit and talk like an idiot. You’re a true pro. I really am enjoying these interviews as the show has progressed.
