The smoke scented armor that they put on, as the doors rise so the trucks can move on. The shrill of their siren, the flashing red lights. Nothing will deter them, neither day nor night. Its arriving on scene and seeing joy in the eye. Knowing they are safe because the firemen arrived. It's a selfless act how they risk their life, and the ones that pay, are their kids and wife. I would not give up this soot stained gear, for I am honored and proud to be a VOLUNTEER

Aside from a PASS device, 'MAYDAY" is one of the most chilling sounds that a firefighter can hear. Big city, small town, career, volunteer, specialty crew, county lines, rookies/veterans, fire districts, bad blood, mutual aid, etc....none of that matters when a "MAYDAY" is called. You stop and do what is needed to rescue that man or woman in distress. We truly are a family.

My dad is a Firefighter, and two of my close friends are in training. I love this song. It puts the job is a different perspective. Let's all pray for those brave men, and women that put their lives on the line.

I was raised by a firefighter and it was always my worst fear that one of those calls that my daddy wouldn't come back home but I always knew if I lost him he died a hero

As a fireman 35yrs I always prayed I jumped on the engines I served on .or at the scene we all do it cuz they need help .welp to the young ones feel them ears burning get out .always check up & down when in listen to us old saltys you will be one too .and train train schools .God bless yous as I was

Being a firefighter was the only thing i could ever see myself doing when i was growing up. Both of my partents are firefighters and I always looked up to them and still do, and now here I am following my dream and putting those boots on to protect the community

I am a junior on the Red Willow Western Rural Fire Department, I saw some pretty brutal things I shouldn't have seen yet, earlier this summer, we had a wild fire at our lake, for my third or fourth fire I was scared, but I pulled through and did my job, a big thanks for this song and a prayer to my fellow first responders across the nation 🙏

You never know what the call is going to be. You get paged for a house fire and it's someone's house you know. To yourself you are like hurry up guys hurry save that house. When part of your crew is stuck inside with SCBA going off like beep beep beep beep. You lose some, you risk your life it is all true.
