Shooting a variety of guns and a variety of ammunition at a variety of targets is not just "entertainment" for people - it provides, after a while, a real sense of the relative power, controllability, and lethality of a variety of weapons to apply in a variety of circumstances. Lots of variety there, and that's the point. Few people have either the money or time to replicate such a broad spectrum of experiences with their own finances. As a result, watching the results of bullets being fired through jugs of water, wood, gel blocks, metal, concrete, etc. narrows down the list of alternatives that a prospective buyer of a given physical stature might want to look at to evaluate their suitability to purpose for their specific situation or intended use. Likewise, the discussions provide perspective, as do - and this is often underrated - the comments provided by others who have experienced similar weapons/ammo combinations, and who might be able to add reliability information to enrich the information that a viewer can gain. Fundamentally, KZbin is a fantastic source of information and a great learning opportunity, harnessing as it does the experience of a sizeable portion of the gun owners on earth! No gun club or gathering of individuals could hope to replicate the store of knowledge available through the immense library of KZbin video presenters.

The strike spring compresses when the striker is pull back by the bar (oem) setup

@@Gypsyman40 yes on the stock trigger, but what about the performance trigger? it says its now energized by cycling, and the stock one is energized by pulling the tigger , so the striker on the performance trigger is sitting there fully compressed and pulling the trigger only allows the sear to drop

Firing pin block and drop shelf safety still intact with GPT. If you have an armorers plate you cant even drop the sear manually with a tool without the trigger pulled back off the drop shelf. Glocks are also designed with a very robust firing pin channel block. You take the slide completely off (and you have an intact and unmodified firing pin block safety) you can cock the striker all the way back all you want and release it all day the firing pin will never enter the beach. All you will end up doing is breaking your striker.

This is what I'm learning as a novice. Was shooting way too many rounds at the range and not doing enough dry fire practice. I'm learning to ignore all the "Tactical bro" nonsense as it doesn't apply to me and makes me overthink. Now I just shoot low left sometimes. That's one problem and it's good to only have one to work on rather than be all over the place and not knowing why, searching for solutions.
@Gypsyman4019 күн бұрын
You get it my bro. You get it. The issue is your grip most likely. Mastering the grip is the most important fundamental PERIOD. If mastered you can get away with a not so perfect trigger squeeze. Sight alignment comes next of course. But if you use a dot practice seeing the dot during dry fire. Also check your dot zero. Hope this quick tip helps. Thanks for watching.

Good point you made about the comp on the 9 mm. I feel like recently the community has been heavily leaning into the "if you ain't got the gucciest gun, it ain't worth it" and don't get me wrong, to each their own. But I think this tacticool mentality of just puttin stuff on a gun cuz "tactical" is simply a bit cringe and also not the most practical. Whenever I see people with their Gen-Z, frame-cut Zoomer ARs I just think it looks silly and weird. Not that they shouldn't be allowed to do so, it's their money, but the sense of down-to-earth pragmatism for which I absolutely love some fireams is just gone. In the end it comes down to individual ergonomics and practice imo, no amount of money spent on expensive optics, rails or furniture will ever compensate lack of practice. P.S. found the way you explained the grip & dry firing practice pretty nice ✌

You made some great points that I often ask myself when watching people on the range and on KZbin. Yea I respectfully disagree. I carry my XC. I put 1k rounds a month through and I dry fire a lot. I carry what I shoot the best and what is the most comfortable for me. The XC is easier to carry than the P. I carry the CS sometimes as well but at the end of the day the CS is just too small for me. I fully embrace the XC as a viable carry option. But I’m here for the conversation as always great video
@Gypsyman4020 күн бұрын
When you say carry I believe you mean professionally. If so, how do you feel about the lack of take up? And would you want a firearm more forgiving if in use? Also, is your trigger set at 2.5 lbs.? Thanks for joining in on this conversation my bro. Greatly appreciated...
@Oldmanjustice20 күн бұрын
@ I am a civilian like yourself. I carry the best firearm for me which is the XC. I tried carrying the P but it was actually to heavy and just didn’t make sense. The CS is a great pistol but just too small for my hands but I do use it as a backup. My XC is stock with the 2.5 # trigger and like I said I put a lot of rounds through it and I dry fire on a regular basis at least 3/4x a week. I use the XC for everything because that is the platform I chose that works best for me. My edc set up is perfect and super comfortable for such a large pistol
@Gypsyman4020 күн бұрын
@Oldmanjustice I'm not a civilian my bro. I've said in a few of my videos that I carry a firearm as a trained experienced professional for over two decades. The issue I have, and I'm going to go with what you said, which was you are a civilian feeling that if in the unfortunate situation that because you shoot alot of rounds you can manipulate a 2.5 lbs trigger with no take up under deadly stress. The fear of death my brotha is something you can not duplicate in a safe controlled training environment. There's something about the unique special cocktail of I'm about to lose my life, adrenaline, lose of vision, hearing, fine motor control, fear, courage, asshole pucker and skill that make it difficult for me to believe a civilian can handle without the proper experience. But hey, maybe you come from a stressed induced background who knows, respectfully. I hope you are never in this scenerio and find out different. The XC is a nice tool though. I'm glad you are fortunate enough to experience that platform
