Sadly, they used to make a few dozen utilitarian quality products before they went crazy over the top with fashion, 1000's of apparel, and a lot of poorly designed products e.g. funky zippers, cuffs et al. Not to mention washing plastic apparel becomes micro plastic in the water, wah wah.

I got a couple of boatloads of crap, but I didn't buy any of it. People throw out so much good stuff I just collect everything that I can use or I need. I have pulled brand new chainsaw circular saws binoculars computer pads generators fans even gold and silver jewelry and change how to one particular dumpster. I've gotten cases of good wine and boxers or wine and cases of soda pop and beer in cases of whiskey and I don't even drink. I give away everything I can. I drink a taser to a bottled water a week. It's disgusting about all the waste plastic so I try to recycle now I hear they aren't recycling it really they're just lying to us. We need more cardboard and glass containers

This is what I wrote when I shared this, "This, and the longer film Patagonia made about clothing, are excellent. They give us positive steps to fight climate change and inequality of opportunities. The longer film includes some fashion history. I love fashion, do not buy fashion, and I love the way these folks are thinking and behaving about fashion."

No one thinks evolution is in effect. They specifically believe in it or not. Like the greenhouse effect, more ethanol a few years ago, agroforestry for now and into the future. Do more for agriculture for climate change? It is all perspecitve. Be an empiricist, not a consumer of information.

There is a lot of hypocrisy in this advert. People only wear this clothing if they have time and money for extra activities. This company represents 0.0001% of the clothing market. It relies on oil based and chemical materials. If their No1. Priority was saving the planet and our long term health then they would be in a different industry altogether. At least they bring some awareness to some of our issues.

The Aral sea should have been mentioned in this video (huge cotton production has been one of the leading causes of one of the world largest lakes to dry up and now it blows deadly cancer causing dust around the area and sometimes around the world. Dust laced with DDT and other harmful chemicals causes local cancer rates to be 25% higher than average. In March 2020 the dust settled here in the alps after a dust storm by the Aral sea. It stayed with us trapped in the valley's of the French Alps for around 2 weeks. No health warnings and it was during the 1st covid lockdown. Everyone was out exercising taking deep breaths of this toxic dust! No health warnings were given! It was peoples moment to remove their masks and take in a dose of often self neglected and much needed exercise!

People all around me committing suicide. Many of my friends have no hope for the future and their current situations. This year my immediate group of friends lost many people to depression. I urge people to try not to become drawn into this too deep and not to let bad habits take over your life when battling with depression. There can only be change in the future and perhaps we are about to come out of one of our darkest moments. I believe we are soon to enter "an age of truth" exposed by various AI's. The future is going to be strange but it may also prove how we need to be living and treating the planet.

I've still got clothes from over 30 years ago. Lots of them. I've also got some vintage clothing handed down by relatives. I pickup used clothes fro time to time. Currently i'm looking for someone to help me repair some of my clothes. Here is my list of things that i feel are the most damaging in the world that has become more and more self destructive, especially looking long term. Cotton production Cereal production Bio Fuel production Deforestation for fuel, building materials / products, making space for agriculture or development Development (buildings, roads etc) Some solutions are permaculture and encouraging people to be interested in other goals such as restoring balance in nature, restoring the missing symbiosis that enables ALL life to thrive. We need to wake up to how our natural instincts of being competitive and being territorial drive us to do what we do as a group acting by group mentality (competing against other nations etc.). It's time to unify the globe so that we become one group that no longer fights itself. Global sharing rather than competing Welcoming each other rather than being hostile. Breaking down group mentality when it becomes harmful, destructive or hostile. Science, Education Regulation. Proving our own natural instincts have become destructive when driven by large group mentality and how we can do better by changing the way we think as one species. Our No. 1 goal in religion or as a global entity should be nurturing nature. Building permaculture systems and repairing the harm we have done already. The Aral sea should have been mentioned in this video (huge cotton production has been one of the leading causes of one of the world largest lakes to dry up and now it blows deadly cancer causing dust around the area and sometimes around the world. Another symptom of the "free market" society created by a minority of profiteers, that has turned citizens into consumers. The financial profits are taken by the few, and the risk and it's consequences are paid for by the many. Thanks for bringing attention to this subject Patagonia. We need wholesale systemic change now. To a more empathetic, honest society that values all life.

@@lindap.5120 Hi! As you are most likely aware, everything is frequency and vibration. There are many levels of the death process. Death is not only about the body, but the spirit and its essence. An individual's 'chi' touches they they defined as their property. It extends far beyond that. Anyway, without going into a dissertation, you have no clue as to how a person transitioned or even what kind of person were they. That energy mingles with ours. We become influenced by that energy. Another example is that by holding onto the clothing if someone who has transitioned makes it difficult for the spirit to let go of this world. We all hold onto reminders of those we love, this is fine. They can still feel that love, but by keeping their wardrobe it holds them back from transitioning. This world is the world of illusion. It is NOT who we are. Mind you, I speak from experience having had two near-death experiences as a child. If you are interested in the subject, I recommend following: 1. John Edward psychic/medium KZbin Incidentally, this guy is phenomenal😀💖 2. PMH Atwater near death researcher. She have a lot of KZbin interviews. Here is another individual who is phenomenal💖

@@ashamer7776 Image you are riding in a subway train where there is only stand-up room. There is body odor, the smell of wet dog, perspiration, halitosis, perfume, corner, there is a smoker, some who bathed in perfume, then there is necrotizing flesh, etc. All that at a corporeal level. You get the idea. Now, let's go to the psychic level: there are some good people, there are narcissus, pedophiles, murderers, soldiers with PTSD, animal abusers, performers, drug abusers, serial killers, lizards, energy vampires, law enforcement, mamas both good and bad, food servers, chefs, etc. Imagine that is in your clothes. Patagonia were suckered by the U.S. State Department into believing stupid stories about China and the alleged mistreatment of 'weeegurrrz'. Yes they have burned a bit of coal in China but they have things like beauty in their five year plans, all the solar cells come from China and they are well ahead of us. Patagonia need to fess up that they got caught up in typical U.S. State Department xenophobia regarding China.

This noote-perfect emulation of KZbin anti-capitalist counterculture ... designed to turn all of us in that counterculture into consumers, fossicking around in our dumb waders as we get older, thinking we rose above capitalism, looking exactly like our boomer parents did when they bought a Tesla from a billionaire and declared themselves environmentalists.
