I remember adores first listen , I loved pug, but wasn’t digging some amazing songs first time.. then live happened, adore is amazing … I’m just saying some of this has SUPER potential…. I haven’t said that the past few albums they did….maybe Tiberius and Being beige ???but this feels Different!!! 😅😢😅😮😢😅😅

Can't believe Pumpkins are still cranking out good songs! Must be like 3000 + songs by now- tho it'll never be Gish/ Siamese/ Melon Collie. That was peak Corgan and Company. I was there from beginning and have seen them live over the years many times. Glad they're still around! 🥰🤩❤️

I’ve been there since..92-93 too, and it’s been a ride.. Machina (as a double album) is my favorite SP work ever!.. but Gish, Pieces, Oceania , MCIS , Adore they all have a special spot in the soundtrack of my life.. Radiohead also is in the soundtrack background.. but the Pumpkins are just MY BAND.. I LOVE everything about them, I even sound like WPC and play guitar..(not great), but since I was little… I have put this band in my heart since a child, and after a divorce. Thru some truely hard times , and some amazing memories!!! Joel Crites !! At the Metro in 99❤🎉

Maybe it was what I was going through at the time??( because I believe that” has a huge sway on if some really likes the music or not, at least in my life I’ve noticed!.). But this is the best he’s put out in 10 years for sure!!!! He DID put out a few SUPeR underrated solo songs I would have LOVED to see played with a whole band!!! 999 is my favorite!! I love Goeth the fall, and Pentagrams .. I like sicarius too

I´ve been an SP fan since 1998 and I honestly thought that they´d had alredy reached their creative peak with Adore. I started to like Machina a few years after its release, I guess I needed to grow up a little. Anyway, I didn't fully enjoy anything from Zeigeist to this day. Only a couple of songs here and there, but I haven´t connected with an SP album so strongly as I just did with this one! Once again I´m thankful with SP for making me feel as that little 14 year old kid again, who found a place in this world through their music!

Oceania was really really good, I felt that Record just like this one., maybe I was in the right headspace.? Monuments was horrible,(besides Tiberius with Jimmy), there was a few pretty great solo songs.. Machina 2 was better than 1 possibly imo. And Zeitgeist was sooo ironic, cause if had came out in 1994-5 it would have sold 5 million records … (tell me how I’m wrong)?? But this DOES have a great deal to it, back to the “I don’t give a flip, Billy I loved all the way too 2009, when fans were treated to amazing shows, (cheap), and whined about it some how??? Like they were playing Starla, with Pocalina and Gossamer !!?? How could you hate that!??? 😢 Anyway cheers 🥂 to this great piece of music!!!! ❤

@@brettwallis1 I agree with you. Zeitgeist was great. I just have nostalgia for Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie, and Machina 1 because I was in a different place in my life at those times, and so those albums will always have special meaning to me. It doesn't take away from the other works. It is just my personal experiences that were accompanied by those albums that make them special to me.

Listened to the entire album. Huge fan; growing up in the 90s……they hit some key moments with guitar tones but aside from that, the entire album just lacks soul (to me). I understand they aren’t mid-20s anymore and can never recreate their past…..but Gish, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie will always be the best. Siamese Dream especially……bring me back to being 15 again……every. single. time.

Return to form, haven’t had this peak amount of love for sp since machina and some of zeitgeist. This sounds like it’s on their own terms, in their own sweet time without commercial pressure and well executed. An Olympic gold medal moment in rock which is well due a revival like this. It swims and it flies ❤

Who Goes There , and Goeth in the Fall, Both feel like Maxhina 2 to me.. 999 feels like Oceania/MCIS.., the Edin is a little of new SP with some Zwan/Zeitgeist feels”… Pentagrams sounds like it could be on Pisces Iscariot!! Or Gish demos.. I love it! Even Sicarus and “the war one” are good! Nice travel Sp songs … I’m happy , but I love this band. I didn’t like the past three album much.. Atum is growing on me, but was disappointed in Cyr shiny”, era a lot , it’s left a bitter taste . And I admit it made me super skeptical of this one! But❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Nice! Good album. I doubt it will raise the profile of the Pumpkins much due to the nature of music in general these days, but great album anyway.

Sometimes I think "Zeitgeist vibes" never will leaves Billy's mind. That's become a mannerism... New, just "Murnau".

I’m thinking of stemming out this album and remixing the vocals. What going on with that? The music is amazing though.

Not always great, but always interesting, and still somehow, a pretty unique band that few,if any, have tried to copy, which is funny to me cuz I often think “ man, I wish these guys would cover the Smashing pumpkins etc”.in the end, Billy can write great songs, and they ROCK!
