What do you mean when you say "fish position themselves"? I'm assuming it changes with which was the current if flowing, right? I'm thinking of an off shore point. Would the fish be on or off the point or one side to the other depending on current?

That’s some good juice! I follow wind a lot, but I’ve never known why and how it did it. That’s really cool, I’ll pay attention next time I’m out there I appreciate you sharing thx👍🥸🙏

In Florida lakes it’s oxygen and the right PH level. Current plays a subordinate role - when oxygen and current conditions combine it makes for some good summer fishing.

Good points John. Florida is its own animal lol take everything you know about bass fishing around the rest of the country and throw it away when it comes to Florida

Do storm runoffs create enough current that are worth trying g? For example I know a few coves at Pleasant that get a lot of runoff, but it also creates murky water.
@joshbertrandfishing1274Күн бұрын
Great question Alex. I would say yes it’s worth looking at if it’s not blown out muddy. Any time there is runoff I’m going to try to check it

Here at Castaic, the stripers go crazy up shallow in the summertime 🐟🎣

Nice! There’s always some good fishing to be had shallow if you’re in the right spot

On the standard salt chain lakes how far does the current from the dams have impact? Hopefully that ? Made sense. Thanks for info
@joshbertrandfishing1274Күн бұрын
Good question. I personally think the fish can feel current dam to dam, even if we don’t notice it on the surface

Mille lacs lake, Minnesota, all of June 2025. Should hit spawn? Can't wait, I remember you having a record day on that lake, what almost, or around 92lbs? Thanks for the great fishing reports. Mr. Bertrand, you are a great asset to all fisherman, and a top-notch Gentleman. Thanks for all you do for the sport.

Down in Tucson that top water bite has been good! I've been getting into angling this past year. I love it!

Hi Randy, Im in the Tucson Area, what Lake are you referring to? I fished Parker Canyon Sunday, Caught around 12 Small Large Mouth , biggest maybe 2lbs , was much better last year at this time. I do know the water level is down , so maybe that has changed where the Fish are feeding ... its been tough to get into big fish there so far.....

Is it still worth fishing in the lower salt river? I has some luck catching a few small LM bass with top water (whopper plopped) two weekends ago, but I caught pretty much nothing with (whopper plopped, frog) last weekend. I was out there around 5am -_-

Last week I beached over at the saguaro coves and was throwing a tiny under spin and ended up catching a 4lb and 2lb bass within 10 minutes was quite surprised since I rarely catch anything when I actually go bass fishing at saguaro throwing a drop shot
