I am not quite sure what you are asking. Are you talking about destination cards? And if so what do you mean by spaces marked with the Landmark symbol? Are you talking about the card icon on the hiking area that starts on day 5? If so, those are not there for when you can play a destination card, but for when the new color cards come out. If not, can you elaborate further? And as far as the second question I would need to know where in the video you are referencing to have an idea of what was going on.

It would. And if they added more lessons, they could use a module system like the original game or just say take out X amount of lessons. I'd also like to see Oshax if they wouldn't unbalance the game too much (maybe make them cost a fish to take).

Terraforming Mars Ares Expedition is a game where the beginning focuses alot on building an engine through green and blue cards with red event cards scattered here and there and then by the end you really need to try to milk the benefits of the engine you built primarily through Actions and production (especially for the solo). Most of the fun comes in the engine building and then I personally find the overpowered ending rewarding from a well-built engine. Dorf Romantik is fun. It gives vibes similar to Cascadia when it comes to the matching of landscapes on tiles, but with the challenge being trying to fulfill tasks through matching certain amounts of terrain in groups. The game doesn't really have a win/ loss condition, but rather you unlock more challenges as you go... and the better you do the quicker you unlock new things.

I thought about doing one at the start of the year that is most played games in 2024, but concerned it might be too close in time to this video... but I did look at my list and there were only a few crossovers with my overall plays list, so it may still work.

Probably between this one and the Organism... both feel very unique. Also, I would say overall Season 2 feature films feel more unique than Season 1. Each feature film has some standout mechanisms that set them apart from others.

I've posted videos for all of Season 2, North Pole Nightmare, plus Maple Lane, Creech Manor, and Terror From Above. My earlier videos had pretty terrible camera angles.

It's occasionally good for when you really need 2 successes... while it doesn't guarantee it, it makes it more likely. Also makes the cards with 3 success more viable. It is a bit overpriced thougalsot also works well with Heather's ability where each 5 or 6 rolled does a damage.

The move of 1 and attack of 1 is the amount of movement and damage they do per boot and per knife icon. Since their innate action each round (found next to the "M" on the killer board) just includes the boot, they only move and they do not attack. If I had drawn a terror card with a knife icon, then they would have attacked with a damage of 1 (per knife icon). Also note that some terror cards say "Ratchet Lady only," and in those cases you would not apply the action to the minions. Alternately, Ratchet Lady only has an attack icon for her innate ability, and so she does not move unless a terror card tells her to, but she will attack in her space if there is anyone there before drawing a terror card.

Have you played Wyrmspan? And is it just the theme that turns you off from it? I think they also innovated the gameplay and added extra depth of strategy. I still really enjoy Wingspan (obviously as it was on the list), but I like what Wyrmspan added outside of the theme too.

@@MerlinsManor Yes the theme is a turn off for me. The art looks cute though. No, I haven't played it but watched a lot of videos and reviews. The big added mechanic of the guild track looks great, but I don't need it. Criticism of the dice for Wingspan I find flat out wrong, as I love the bird feeder mechanic. I feel the mechanic to first build the cave in order to seat your dragon is a bit clunky; but again, I haven't played Wyrmspam. Anyway, I think I will be happy to cherish Wingspan forever and don't need the other, which is 95% the same game.

I personally plan to get rid of Dinosaur World because I much prefer Dinogenics. They do play very differently though, so there could be room for both.

Once you've learned many of the cards, it doesn't take too long, especially since most of what you need to look at is symbology. I find it worth the extra time personally to mitigate the luck and with how it helps to build synergy, but perfectly understand how some would prefer to skip drafting to speed up the game.

It seems many allow older games they ranked 10 out of 10 drop off (which is fine as it is their list)... there are just games that I've really loved that stop getting the plays once I have experienced all the content that I still feel belong with the rest of the 10's or 9.5's. And, you'll just have to tune in and see if Final Girl makes my top 10.
