I'm sure those who are inclined towards playing the game cutthroat could certainly turn it that way, but in our games we just tried to utilize whatever was on the board to fulfill our recipes and sometimes that meant messing up other's plans as a side effect rather than to mess others up... for that matter you can't always tell what would mess others up and what would help others. And Action Cards were always great for mitigating when someone did something that messed up your plans.

@@MerlinsManor yes, that makes sense. Even a game like Patchwork can be cutthroat (always taking what the other person needs instead of focusing on your own board). On the other hand, you might take what someone else needs NOT on purpose but bc you need it... anyway, you get what I'm saying. I'm just glad Maki is not set up to purposely be mean.
