I highly recommend you get a different microphone. This one makes your voice pitch too high and it's actually hard to listen. I had to turn down the volume but I used to make videos myself and I can tell you it's the microphone we have just dropped

aloha bro!! I have a problem with my fins that is killing me. The outside of the foot is being compressed quite a bit. Is there any way to widen the part of the shoe for better comfort and a better fit to the foot? hugs!
@iaincampbell_Күн бұрын
The best option is to change the fins. It’s not one fin fits all so maybe change the brand and see if you can find something that better fits your feet.

Hey Iain! Any advice on hamstring cramps in cold water? Particularly on spins. Used to be able to go 3 hours without a cramp but these days i feel them creeping in at the 45 minute mark.
@johndoeyedoe7 күн бұрын
I'm not Ian but I was suffering this when getting back into the sport. These are what stopped those cramps for me: Yoga mate. Yin yoga. Also loads of jump rope, soleus exercises and stationary bike. Tbh I spend more time training than I do in the water. There are some videos on KZbin, including Ian, training for booging. My favorite is the jump rope breath hold. 50 jump rope in one breath hold is my best ATM.
@iaincampbell_7 күн бұрын
It’s less about the cramp and more about your pre surf routine. I always say that more fluids and particularly some electrolytes will go a long way in helping to keep the cramps away! It’s a lack of hydration that causes the muscles to fatigue and cramp… get the hydration level up and the cramp should go away.
@jpvoxdawg7 күн бұрын
@johndoeyedoe thanks mane. More stretching for sure. I have the flexibility of a prosthetic leg.
@jpvoxdawg7 күн бұрын
@iaincampbell_ that makes sense. I hike 3 hours a day for work and it's hard to make yourself drink water when it's cold. An electrolyte drink with magnesium and potassium could be a game changer!

Make sure to do plenty of strength and conditioning training, and yoga. Drop knee is why I am an old cripple who lives on mainland now, and can't work anymore. It's super bad for hips and back. But mainly, I have zero labrum left on my right hip (front leg, goofy foot. Front leg takes a lot of pressure at the hip, and shreds your labrum into hamburger meat if you don't stay in tip-top shape
@iaincampbell_7 күн бұрын

Great instructions, then again it's fantastic to see the diversity in style and the freedom to do it your own way. Main thing your having fun out in the surf. I see other riders with unique styles and I just accept and respect them for that and for doing it their own way. Rather than everybody riding the same looking like clones. However you want to ride that's cool. Sometimes you see a rider with what you perceive as a different style and wonder where they come from? How did they learn? From what era? Etc.... nevertheless cool instructions, very helpful.
