Iain i was wondering if you had any tips on how to fix a board that has a line on the bottom from being bent after hitting the sand bar

No way to fix that. Creases in the slick happen from time to time but that shouldn’t affect the way the board rides…

Hi Ian! I live way inland now - for job and family. There is a wave pool (palm springs) between me and the ocean. Would you use the wave pool as a warm up session or use the ocean to warm up for the wave pool - if you had to choose.

I don’t think it really matters too much. Either way is good. I think the pools are a great opportunity to practice for the ocean as it’s always the same so maybe a good option to start there.
