Going to be in the first round of buys for January 2025 - Space last year was my "re-entry" back in to Lego as an adult - collecting sets I had (vintage from the late 70's and early 80's) as a child. Rarely a day now goes by where I'm not building.

Great Vid as usual! Definately will get this set. I´m totally in love with that orange colour they use. But the colour scheme in general is so nice. Would be great if they make at least one set per year from now on, but hopefully another set in the summer 2025.

Yes, it would be good if space continues. But even if it stops, Lego seem to release a space wave periodically. Before 2024, there was a wave of space sets in 2022, and before that a wave in 2015. - So I;m sure they will return no matter what.

Plus, If anyone is living under a rock, I wanna mention that the torsos of the next year's space set. Is similar to the same torso from the *"Lego Store: Build Your Own Lego Minifigure"* 4:00

Yes, not just similar, the actual torso was identical. It had the same pattern on the white but just with a Reddish Orange panel on the shoulder. Lego also released that torso with a white arm on the coloured side, instead of an arm in the same colour as the shoulder panel, which is what they are doing with these new three astronauts.. It would be very easy to change the arm colour though, on the BAM torso to Reddish Orange. Then you just need a helmet of some kind in Reddish Orange too!

This is a good video. For the new lego city space minifigure colors, the designer (Aaron Newman) revealed exactly which color goes with what: 😉 Orange = Construction Blue = Explorer Green = Scientist Darker version of color = Captain

Yes, you’re absolutely right. I got several of them back then. The only difference between that one and these new ones, is the BAM one had a white right arm, whereas these ones have a right arm in the same colour as the coloured corner of their torso. It’s nice that Lego repeat designs like this. We just need a right arm and a helmet in Reddish Orange to add to the BAM torso, then they’ll all match!

@MinifigJez I built an army of reddish orange torso... The thing that I don't understand is in 60434 why do we have a "brown" helmet... And then 60433 we get a dark green helmet... That doesn't make sense at all... But I like them all 😂😂😂

@@rockies1790 The helmets match the arm colours, so the brown figure (which I think is reddish orange) has an arm teh same colour, and the dark green fig also has dark green arms. There's a comment here that says the theme designer designated the darker shade of each colour as the commander of that colour set of astronauts.

I was fortunate enough to get all the spacemen as they were released, the originals from the 80’s and the rest as each one has been released. You’re right, if you’re starting from scratch, it’s gonna cost a lot. Especially the original black one with a good quality torso print.

I have all the Modular buildings since 2007, and the all open up by taking roof and floors off, so I'm happy to keep it like it is, but that's a great idea for people who like to open things up from the back.

Because by 1999, Lego were no longer making classic spacemen. The spaceport astronauts, looked much more like real astronauts, in all white suites and white helmets with gold visors.

He takes his displays to lots of the brick festivals, so maybe you could see them at another one. @ I didn’t actually see myself but I counted how many people were in front of me when i got there, 25ish so if you were 10th in line I was only a 10-15 behind, I got a few things some mini figures and a couple sets I’ve been after for a while :)

That's a great idea. - So as well as Classic Space, what other figs does that include? M-Tron? Blacktron? Futuron? Ice Planet? Space Police? There's quite a few brick-built minifigure display stands out there, which people have designed and made. You should check out Rebrickable or youTube for some inspiration and get building!

fire for deception is perfect, it have complete connection to the English saying and meanings like "we burned all the bridges to this relationship, work, project, place (whatever)" wonder if the designer / creator based this on English saying or perhaps some others have this too, I personally don't know any usually other languages use the word "road" or "path" and uses the action of removal (what ever that is) "the road to this relationship has been removed due to so and so" doesnt use fire as a action instead of word "bridge" does (since old bridges were made of wood) in this context (also you cant really burn a road ... )

Yes, I've only known the phrase "burned your bridges" in the context that, you can't go back. You've burned your bridges to a situation, or with a person, and you can never er get the previous relationship or situation back again. I don't think it looks "bad" maybe a little bit awkward, because the colours are in different places, but one has grey, the other light blue. I don't display them together at home and I'm not going to be remaking this video ever again, with a fade through like that again. So I think they'll be ok as they are. after all, one is an official set, and the other is just a bunch of spacemen ! - Thanks for commenting!

Yes, I think it's a cool sub theme to have for City, smaller and cheaper F1 cars. The Speed Champions ones would be far too big for a LEGO City anyway!!!!

I have most of that information in my original video from February 2023 (which you can see here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZXYqWRpeZ6FrtEsub_confirmation=1) Your information on the Black one is wrong however, as the Black one in the vintage minifigure collection had a motorcycle helmet. The original one from the 80's has the classic shaped helmet and only came in these eight sets: brickset.com/sets/containing-minifig-sp003 Light Blue and Gold definitely don't exist as official Lego minifigures YET. I count official figs as ones that you can get a printed classic space torso for. Light Blue or Gold MIGHT be the next colour that they make to go into teh Minifigure Dispensing machine, but they haven't told us yet, which one it will be.
