During winter, would it be worth it to turn on the recirculation while the engine is still warming up because the engine isn’t yet warm enough to provide maximum heat? With recirculation some of the heat already in the cabin gets reused, allowing to cabin heat up quicker. Once the engine is at operating temperature, recirculation can be turned off.

Well done sir! I have worked on my cars and other family members' cars since I was a teenager. The one thing I never had to do was bleed the brake system. Usually, I would just take the cap off the reservoir and depress the caliper piston. But my daughters Jeep Liberty would not budge. Then I saw your video. I did it just as you detailed, and it worked perfectly! I see a lot of suggestions that people are adding to your technique, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it (: Thanks for saving me a trip the mechanic!

lets be honest.. they mix in a glue, u can just aswell but the glue without being mixed. it gets squeezed into the small leaks and dries which prevents future leaks i would assume it wont dry under pressure since it would dry in the can which means the compressor should be just fine / the glue gets attatched all over the system creating a thin layer over the whole systems outerlayer eighter way sounds compleatly safe aslong as u dont add to much and do as instructed (run the engine on full ac for 15-30min) after refill else it could crystalise in a huge chunk (assumeably)

What if the low pressure switch cant be jumped ? I replaced it but it still wont jump with a paper clip. The compressor clicks on when i jump it through the ac clutch relay but not through the low pressure switch. There’s continuity in the wires of the low pressure switch but it cant be jumped with a paper clip

Bad way to check. You'll burn coil with 12 v dc. You should conect pwm to check stroke of slide in solinoid. When you give variable duty pwm to coil . You'll see it move . If not response . May be it was stuck or coil damsge. " Do not aply 12 v dc direct to low ohm coil.

your ac system should NOT lose refrigerant over time as the vehicle ages !! I have a 1970 chrysler newyorker which i stopped driving regularly about 20 years ago and the ac still blew ice cold for over 30 years !!!! The key to keep your ac operating properly is to run your ac once a week for about 10 minutes at a time , and the key element to this is that you need to run it in the winter too!!!! As the refrigerant cycles through the system it maintains lubricant on all the 0 rings and seals to prevent them from drying out , getting hard and brittle , and then you get leaks . When I was a young man back in the 60's an older Chrysler dealership mechanic gave me this tip . At that time Chrysler owned an air conditioning company called AirTemp and they engineered Chryslers ac systems . If you look at old Chrysler ac systems you will see a system that was designed well and was rivaled by no other car company !!

Thank you! Unlocked the steering wheel and ignition on F150. Unlike shown in this video, the wheel was locked solid with no give. Because of that, I was pretty sure that would end up having to resort to a mobile mechanic, then tried this method - and it worked! Had to really force the wheel, the movement was imperceptible, maybe a millimeter or two.

The ac cycling switch on my Jeep liberty kept in continuity all the times causing freezing the line. It must be always cycling on off (it's located on accumulator)

No one has addressed what the "clicking" function actually does - and in fact if you try to find any info on the net about the anatomy of a modern gas cap - you can't. Why? Because one of the primary failures of the modern day gas cap is the "inner" seal - which is what the click regulates. Manufacturers want to sell new gas caps as often as they can. The outer seal works to control the seal of the cap outer threads that hold the cap in place - so they do not go out of their way to inform people about maintaining gas caps. The "inner" seal works to set the caps "pressure" maximum level - meaning, if the pressure in the tank reaches a certain height, the air can escape. This should normally not happen if the evap system is working - but the function has to be in place as a safety measure. When the inner seal gets dirty and clogged, the cap will not seal - thus the over-pressure regulation is wide-open. The only way to "clean" the inner seal is to remove the cap from the attachment cord and soak it in soap and water - then blow it out with compressed air. Dirt enters the inner portion of the cap through the vent holes you can see at the top of the cap.
