Nice description The higher voltage doesn't necessarily mean more power, but speed to the motor depending on the KV of the motor higher KV is more speed. Lower KV is higher torque KV is revolution's per volt and the more amps you can push to the motor without burning it out makes more power. So, balance between KV of the motor, voltage, and amps. Nice video

is there anything preventing you from tapping threads into the inner hub bolt holes on the XR rails to make it quickly removable if the hub bolts ever get loose and need adjusting? or is there too little meat to get good threads in?

Awesome! One more question, is there going to be the option to just buy extra clips? I see there is the option to buy a handle but not just a clip. It seems like it would be nice to buy 2 clips for 2 boards but a single handle. Or 2 clips so you can put one of each side of your board.

Why do you have a plug for the leds going to the vesc? Seems you wouldn't need it because your using the dc converter and an esp32, wouldn't the only thing needed to go the the vesc is the enable lead from the dc converter??

How does this setup deal with heat? I live in Arizona and would love to build one of these boards but I am afraid if I build one of these that it'll overheat.
@thetoasterisonfire2080
@thetoasterisonfire2080 Ай бұрын
Yea. With the motor and esc in the hub that thing is gona be making some heat. Overheating will likely be a problem when going slow with high power draw, such as riding a hiking trail. Some sort of cooling system is needed. I think the best option would be heat pipes that lead from the hub to the rails.
@gavincarrasco1542

I also live in AZ and I have 3 friends building FCs with f6's so we will see how it fairs in the summer. There will likely be two boards done by christmas! From experience owning a FW its usually not the motor overheating and usually the ADV controller so there is definitely still room for thermal saturation there. The CC is really good at heat dissipation and there is a lot of available thermal mass so we will see how it goes.

@gavincarrasco1542 What voltage are the boards going to be run at? and how heavy are the riders. I'd love to do a 32s and I'm about 215lbs. my GT has gotten close to overheating a few times last summer while out on a lunchtime ride. I ride street and sidewalks 95% of the time.
@gavincarrasco1542
@gavincarrasco1542 Ай бұрын
@@matthewtinsley3688 I believe all the boards will be 32s2p. 2 xr frames and one gt frame. Riders weights are 135, 165, 200+. Both floatwheels have overheated in the summer but like I said it was the ESC and after a minute it was back to a normal temperature even when it was 110 out.

There's people out here that actually believe COVID is a completely separate sickness? Or is COVID what you guys call the common cold over there? I like your channel and I honestly wish you did not open up with that...... It is simply made up bullshit. No America didn't have record deaths every single day...... If that were the case, we would have all been able to see the population around us dwindling.

The axle is connected to the frame, hence the imu stays stationary relative to the board frame which is all it needs to function :))
