Huh. I haven't thought of that. I always knew the time line was compressed like a zip file, but I never thought it was that bad. Good video.

Thanks! I think I'm the only person who cares about it lol I remember when it was first revealed he turned 16 I was like "...excuse me WHAT?!" and no one else seemed to notice or be bothered.

I also quite prefer the manga over the show. You expressed it very well. It's tighter. Characters are better fleshed out and less insane. I wish we got a little more Asuka as I feel she kinda drops off the manga at a certain point but overall it's excellent. And that ending. I love it. Absolutely love it.

I feel like comparing MCU Spider-man to a sidekick is a bit unfair. Outside of gadgets, which he's been shown to be able to fight without. Iron man had nothing to do with Spider-mans victories in either ffh and nwh and barely did anything in the first one. Iron man wasnt even mentioned in nwh from what i remember and in iw and endgame, spider-man was shown to be the one saving iron man. Even in civil war gadgets and recruiting peter was all Tony did

I'm sorry but I respectfully disagree about your take on Andrew's peter, arguing that he's "confident" just because he standed up to Flash in this one single scene doesn't refute that he's socially awkward, Andrew's Peter is actually accurate to the og comic peter (Steve ditko's era), Peter in the comics does stand to flash in separate occasions especially when it reaches the limit and wasn't afraid to stand to flash, Andrew's peter in this scene where flash asks him to take a picture for this kid he's bullying, peter refuses in a LOW TONE at first (but after flash asked for a multiple time in a serious tone is where peter started to raise his tone and said "put him down, eugene", also peter in the og comic actually provokes flash many times and roasts him + this scene where Andrew's peter stand for the bullied kid does show how kind-hearted peter is which is very important as a set-up for peter being Spider-Man

Thank you for being respectful about it, but that actually wasn’t what I meant there. I’m talking about his attitude pre spider bite. Peter only started to come out of his shell after gaining his powers, and my point was that he seems to already be there from the beginning, except when the movie needs him not to be.

@@comicfannicolas3645 I can actually see your point that peter before getting bitten wasn't confident as after he got bitten and that's a fair point to make but I think we need to acknowledge the context of the scene in order to judge whether it works or not, before Peter got bitten in the og comics we get a very few panels about how his school life is, the first panel where Flash Thompson appears and he pushes peter and makes the comment about "get lost bookworm" it was fast and sudden and we don't see peter responding but I think that kinda alligns with the tasm movie in the intro scene where flash throws the ball at peter and peter doesn't seem to really respond and tries to ignore him, even tho yes before peter got bitten in the comics we don't see him responding when his classmates mock him but the thing is he doesn't normally respond to everything he tries to ignore and hide it down but when things reach the limit, the point I'm trying to make that him not responding to these insults pre-spider bite wasn't a much indicator that he can't stand up to himself but rather as how he can't really respond in these certain situations and was still taking the heartbreak at first and also for the reason that peter can chose to ignore but not when it reaches the limit
@user-tn2uf4ow4f
@user-tn2uf4ow4f Ай бұрын
@@comicfannicolas3645 an additional note I didn't really explain further is that I think when it comes to other people being hurt, peter would stand up more than when it comes to himself because in the og comics we don't really see other people being bullied by flash except peter, so I think that in this specific context it works to show that peter is selfless but his selflessness doesn't get appreciated when people don't help him and just watch him getting beaten up which then leads him to be selfish when he gets his powers but then changes after uncle's Ben death, but we can agree to disagree and I can see that you might have different interpretation of the character

I’ve always known cyclops was cool since I grew up with evolution, despite not reading an x-men comic there was something about Scott that always made me happy whenever I saw him, he is and should be a relatable charming inspiring hero. I’m very happy the 97 series is giving him the respect he deserves and is handling the Madelyn storyline a million times better so far.

Same here, I was introduced to the X-men through the movies and even though he didn't have much to do I always thought he was cool, and my school library actually had an issue of the Evolution tie in comic that just so happened to be Cyclops focused, so that helped. I haven't seen '97 yet aside from clips, since I don't have Disney Plus, but I was blown away that they did the Madelyn thing at all, let alone how well it looks like they handled it. I would've figured they'd just make Cable Jean's son directly.

Hey, you huge idiot, Fahran, I wrote few years ago here. I dont know what and certainly nothing against Tobey, and you wrote to me this now: ""Zmedievalwhat r u doing here if u don’t like tobey. Go to school lil guy or take drugs". Well you crazy idiot youtube is certainly not for you. You like drugs, because you write about them? Well I am 40years old and dont need a school certainly. Listen, you idiot kid, go to school and leave me alone. You certainly need a school becuase you write "tobey" and not "Tobey" and "what r u" instead "what you are", "lil" instead of "litle". And that doesnt make sense to go to school or to take drugs, those two are not similar at all. And listen kid, internet and youtube is free for all, and I can be here or somewhere else. I am not living in some of your dictatorship or totalitarism, or in your Sharia law country. ...

The problem with the first XMen movie of 2001 is that the actor playing Cyclops wasn't much there, and High Jackman shined as Wolverine. It also had to do with mediocre writing. So the producers started giving much more protagonism to Hugh Jackman and much less to Cyclops' character, and that stain has sullied Cyclops' character in the movies. But you're spot on: in the cartoons Cyclops is much more intelligent, crisper personality and has much more protagonism, just like in the comics.

@comicfannicolas3645 I don't blame him per se, much more that they wanted Wolverine to overshine. Hale Berry also complained (afterwards) of the limited screen time she was given taking into consideration that Storm is a senior member of The X-Men, and later dropped the character. I blame Brian Singer, the director, for the debacle: he wanted Wolverine over everybody else.
