You really should try to learn Portuguese and forget about mixing with this or that "colour". You are being a racist trying to ming just with a certain colored skin type. I believe here in Portugal, all people are people independently of his/her skin colour. Unfortenately we have some other kind of "descrimination". Is the finantial discrimination. In Portugal people tend to prefer certain friendships related to business or importance on society so they have more or less interests in common. That is sad but somehow understandable. Unfortunately minorities tend to not achieve those standarts only because they start with so much less. Money gives you opportunities and people with less money can´t give their children the same opportunities... best shools, best environments etc. But Portuguese community is all based in equal treatment for everyone and I believe in that. Even if you are rich or poor you'll be teated the same in school (school exams are national) and you have the exact same rights and duties. I'm sorry if you had to migrate to another country because of racism, I really do but when you prefer to be friends with just a type of skin colour you're being a racist just as much as others. Don't do that in Portugal, you don't have to do that, and if you do it you are the one who is being unfair. I'm not saying there aren't racists among portuguese people but they are very rare. As I said before is more a finantial thing than a racial thing. Please allow yourself to be free here. Think whatever you like, dress however you like, be whoever you like, communicate to EVERYONE without prior believes and you'll learn how diversity is much better and inclusive. Don't perpetuate division among racial, church or whatever difference you feel, you're just feeding injustice and misery for everyone. Right now I'm against your presence in my country. It's not a racial thing, is only because people like you are destroying our way of living. We can't compete with your wallets... all is much pricey now, We love our language but you refuse to learn it and speak it, you enjoy our opening mind for moniorities but you keep growing boundaries. Honestly...what are you doing here?!

I am reaching out to the “Black Expat” community who now reside in Portugal. It is very important to know the details of a country full of possibilities for relocation away from a place of familiarity. Please consider me as a new internet acquaintance. My name is Jennifer Gamble-Theard, a retired educator from Florida. I am also hoping to get my family involved in the potential of becoming expats from America. Let's be in touch🙂

Will they give American's a job there? What will Americans do when KZbin only reaches your company of residence? Do you think murder in our black communities will continue under Trump? And drug abuse? And homosexual lifestyles that lead to AIDS? And high rates of abortion genocide for black communities? OR do you think that black lives will be saved when all of these immorale crimes decline?

I love that 3 generations of women will be under 1 roof. I currently live with my mom and my daughter (toddler). I hope to move to Portugal but it’s hard to convince my mom to leave the US for Portugal too 😢 but I’m gathering all my research to ease her mind on the move.

hi! i am a retired little old white lady with two cats. i am terrified. terrified to stay in a country that refuses to stand up to a national bully here in america & get the rightful winner of the election into the wh. i am a teeny bit hopeful she will get a recount done & everything will work out. but i need to be ready to get out of here, & that is my second source of terror, making a huge move to another country, & rumor has it that portugal is one of the better places for relocation. i am in nys so i am within reasonable distance from it. i hear you about the economy, but if trump gets in power, i will be losing my home anyways without the profit i can get now. . i am retired military also. i refuse to live in a dictatorship my co-soldiers throughout history have died to keep us safe from. our leaders are telling us, they died in vain. i have done traveling, but not on this scale. the furthest i've moved is 100 miles. i am experiencing culture shock, from a busy city, albany, ny to a small 8700 pop town in central, ny. it was a rough two years settling in. so i have a inkling of what to expect. thank you for your video. & these fb groups. i need help with so much of the process. i'm watching all different videos & everyone is offering another valuable piece of the puzzle in bite sized pieces. hopefully everything will work out here, & if it does, i am not wasting my time on this, it is a great distraction, & info for a future move. thank you, thank you!

Thank you for this video. I love the neutrality and honesty about cost of living, for example. It's easy to only listen to the positives and forget that you're looking at a difference pace of life. I am learning to slow down. Living in the U.S., ordering through Amazon, for example has created a culture of "instant gratification." I am not on social media, aside from YT really, but will have to see if I can find other resources to inform my choice. But this video was very helpful. I can't wait to watch others of yours.

Because all of us have sinned (Rom. 3:23), we are not only destined to die physically (Rom. 6:23), but we are presently in a state of spiritual death or separation from YHWH (Eph. 2:1-4). When Jesus died on the cross, He took our condemnation and paid the price for our sins (Rom. 4:25; 5:8; 1 Cor. 15:3). By suffering and dying as OUR substitute, Jesus: Provided a righteousness that God can credit to our account (2 Cor. 5:21), and Made reconciliation possible between sinners and a holy God (1 Jn. 2:1-2). John 14:6 English Standard Version 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Thank you for your most informative vlogs. I’m hoping to be scouting in Portugal late April/May. I visited Porto in August for a quick trip while visiting family in London. I got home and started researching how to move there. The hills are a challenge so I’m looking for areas with no/less hills. Hopefully I’ll be permanently in Portugal no later than November.

This is PORTUGAL not USA. If you want American/Mexican life stay there. Americans are privileged and love comparing others. This is Europe lifestyle. You’re living in the most expensive city move to a cheaper city if it’s too expensive. Living in Portugal you’re safer, healthcare is cheaper, food healthier and hopefully we’ll live longer because we’re eating natural foods without additives, dyes etc. I love my Portuguese life and regret not moving sooner. Yes, the language is a challenge but there’s choice if you don’t want to speak Portuguese you can move to cities with more English speaking expats and pay for an interpreter when you need to communicate in Portuguese. Sorry to hear your disappointments but in comparison USA has a lot more things to complain about. The Portuguese people treats you with respect, you don’t need to keep looking over your shoulders in case someone jack you up, police not harassing you. I am able to breathe and I’m not stressed out. Enjoy your best life because tomorrow isn’t promised. Be thankful for each day you live another day without the fear of being shot or attacked. It will get better it’s a life adjustment. Things could be a lot worst, focus on the positives.❤❤

These videos only help to raise prices in a country where young doctors earn around 2000 euros a month. I was forced to leave the center of Lisbon after 30 years and now I'm in Laranjeiras. Now the prices will force people to move farther out. Please consider the locals. Gentrification is very bad in the States. It is now here too and thousands have been forced to leave because they can't afford it.

Hi Andre, thank you for taking the time to watch this video. The point of this video was not too showcase and boast about the prices in Lisbon as I didn’t leave Mexico paying $800 a month to come to Europe to spend over $2200. Whats crazy is one of these Apartments is actually in your neighborhood. If I recall you live right next to a friend so we are basically neighbors. I understand the frustration that you and many locals have gone through however us as being immigrants/pads are not the root cause of the high cost of rent. It is unfortunate that these prices are sadly rising and make it even less affordable for those that are coming from other countries. I do hope that one day the government gets it together and they will have a cap or at least do assessments on apartments to get their actual real value versus random numbers that these landlords are giving tenants. This will be my 4th move in lisbon and I keep making my way to the outskirts. I’ve lived twice in Penha de França, and then next to Sete Rios and now one stop away. I do value all your knowledge and your experiences. As a black American it is not safe in America to even raise kids or be a POC. I choose a better lifestyle that is comfortable to my child’s needs as a young adult. Maybe when my daughter goes away to college next year I will have a better opportunity to relocate furture out the city. As selfish as this sounds, I can’t help I was born in America and have this “ financial privilege “. Also I can’t help that there are no laws in place that are working to help protect the locals with the housing crises right now. I do hope a solution will come soon ♥️
