With the current state of the game this is how i recommend people play WF. While there is a lot of stuff to do, most of it is pretty grindy with no dedicated "hard" endgame. So it's ok to stop playing and go do other shit. Come back when there is an update or you want to, so you don't get burnt out!

1:34 technically he won't BECOME Excalibur. The warframes weren't 'made' for thousands of years. It's explained that Entrati basically went back in time and this 1999 is in a new timeline. (it may also explain why the places have different names like Libertania and Britanica as opposed to 'our world) but possibly needed there to be warframes for us to transmit to, so he brought the 'tech rot'/helminth strain and basically turned Arthur and his friends into 'protoframes'.

According to a lot of the lore I've read (wiki, arg, and otherwise) the events of 1999 are in the same timeline as the rest of Warframe, and the technocyte existed before entrati, most likely as a man-made bioweapon (on-lyne/ the coda are apparently just the militarized version of the boyband EP from gravity falls) additionally, the proto frames have no connection to the "modern" Warframes outside of being created from modified versions of the helminth strain. And lastly, the technocyte and infested seem to be similar, but are not the same entity as the TC started off spreading through inorganic objects while the infestation was modified by salad v to infect inorganics

​@@disendromeder4347 That last point is wrong. They are the same. Techrot is just the nickname it was given. Elenore has a discussion where she reveals that she is the source of the Techrot name. She also has another discussion where it's referred to as the same thing(Eris is mentioned) and that the Orokin never won against it. Furthermore, even before 1999, there was a theory that stated that Alad didn't give the infestation a new ability when he modified it, but merely gave it an ability it already had but lost due to an imperfect revival by Dr Tengus(The Grineer Scientist responsible in the once awake quest).

Warframe is definitely one of those slow burn story games with fast paced action. Like, most people don't even realize or care much about the story until they hit the second dream. But again it's also changed a lot so I'm not too in touch with the new player experience. I started playing a couple years before Second Dream and dropped it for a while when they were making massive overhauls to the map system because I got softlocked out of a few things. Finally came back because of 1999 and damn was it a treat to play through so much good content. And look, they didn't even have to sunset anything.

Once you start the game, it’s a bit confusing and there’s not much to it. But once you get to The Second Dream, the game grabs you by the throat and says “Here’s the story”. Every quest from that point onwards just continuously builds and explores new avenues. As you said, it’s a slow burn, but it cranks up the heat quickly.

Hey Cross! A couple of things that I'd love to say: First, I've been enjoying your journey through Warframe and all it has to offer. Just try not to put too much attention to your chat's suggestions, they sometimes mislead you to ignore certain aspects that could benefit you, while making you do certain activities that will burden you. Second, I wanna ask something: which Warframe weapons, from the ones you've utilized or have seen used by other players, do you think would work as Exotic weapons on D2? Personally, I think that weapons like the Stahlta or the Opticor would be amazing as exotics. The Staltha is an automatic rifle that can shoot up to 2 explosive charges per cartridge, and the Opticor is like a Linear Fusion Rifle with the added benefit of producing a small explosion in the point of contact with the enemy. Another interesting one would be the Lenz or the Nataruk. Keep going, play at your own pace and I hope that we can keep you in our community for years to come.

The sheer dedication to THE 1999 is insane. Ngl, I forget what using guns feels like in Warframe. I’ve been melee only using weapons with secondary ranged attacks/heavies. Idk, I just like being literally in the middle of the action. Pretty much use glaives, and the Syam. I’ve been playing so long I found my preferred play style and the frames and weapons I can pull it off with. Idc what activity I’m playing, I’m just having fun acting like I’m playing DMC in space lmfao Sometimes I just hunt for Ayatan sculptures in tile sets. Or I try learning my favorite bass lines on the Sawzins.
