Great vid that cuts to the chase! If one has a prior lifestyle of junk food resulting in bad cholesterol lvls... can one start drinking bone broth?? (for the quality of good cholesterol matters... but a very sedentary person so need some advise on intake amount as do not want to get gout or some acidity from too much intake of meat per week?) Also how many times per week? Does anyone have any experience whilst having similar lifestyles prior? Tia!

the amount of salt in this is staggering. No way it can be enjoyable, especially with the bitter burnt bacon. I'll pass

1) You can do this much much faster in an Insta pot.. 2 hours on low pressure/allow total natural release approx 40 mins. I would asigilate (soak) your marrow bones for 45 minutes in an inexspensive red wine, while your other bones are roasting in the oven. 2) Use flour sac cloth to filter/pour your completed bone broth through. 3) use a fat seperator - this makes the end product much nicer. Decant and save that fat - Tallow is an awesome bi-product to use for future cooking. 4) Refrdigerate over night - should be nice and geled by morning. I have made several batches this way in an instapot and they come out beautifully. The beef bone broth you buy at the store..almost never contains any of that super high nutritious collegan gel! Why? Because they scrap that off and FD it and then turn around and sell at Powdered Beef gelatin for more money! Too bad too.. cause that stuff is that absolute nutrition bomb! So make your own. Most Store bought/commerical Bone Broths have added sugar.. and you dont want or need that. A few may not have it, but they are often very exspensive..way over priced.

Thank you for the video. One can scoop and eat the fat or bone marrow right after the oven. Then boil the bones.

Would the bacon have softened without the crispy cheese layer? I made recently a quiche and after preparing the batter I realized that I didn’t have the crust and did not want to spend too much time making and baking it so I used a bacon layer. I did not pre-bake it and used baking paper underneath (for whatever reason I thought it might stick) and the bacon got ‘boiled’ at the end. I was really hoping for a quick way to get it crispy.

I keep having runny nose (allergies I assume) from my bone broth, can anyone make a suggestion how to mitigate it?
@mowhawk59246 ай бұрын
keep the fat, great for cooking with or spreading on bread to eat, give your dogs a little a few times a week and when you initially baked the bones why didn't you get the patches of oil on tray into the saucepan ?

Jesus. You add vegetables, which are the bad part of this, and you remove the fat, which is the good part. OMG. People, don't do this. Also, you cook the veggies so much they turn into starch and add essentially sugar in the broth. Horrible.

Add oxtails for better gelatin. I was losing my hair and started bone broth and my hair loss has nearly stopped. Its liquid gold. I have 2 slow cookers on the go right now with beef bone broth. Added carrots, onion, garlic, celery leaves and stalks and a teeny bit of spice. Literally, its better for us than medicine.

Hi, do you mind me asking. For how long you set the pressure cooker and temperature? Im a bit confused and I don’t have the slow cooker. I’m using oxtails as well. Thanks in advance for reading!

@stecder2470 simmer the beef bones for 12 hours or more and if you boil chicken... it will need 6 - 8 hours. I've been doing this for a long time.. it is not a fast fix. You need to keep doing it to benefit from it.
