I don't think Zimm shield or rats are going anywhere. Unless FROM drops another surprise update like this one.

What was the most common for you? Despite when Duckett was buffed, I still saw more kites and Zimm builds than anything else.

@dsaBOSS Kites and zimms. Basho builds every now and then but its hard for me not to applaud them when they stagger me and insta-kill with the bunk. I got into some heated arguments with some top 100 members on discord and stuff too so that's probsbly why. I went from B0-S in pvp using a karasawa, oscilator, coral shield, AA and the 6 missile launcher. I don't wanna use a meta build to climb. I just wanted to play and have fun with my build, ya know? Funny enough, you beat me a couple times last month with your HW build with the all gat guns. 😂

Gotcha, it comes with the territory. Did you face my Rat Catcher with the build you described? I remember running into an AC like that.

I will say, it is rewarding when something non-meta comes out on top. Everyone has their own play style.

@@dsaBOSS Ignoring the fact I spent several hours perfecting a lightweight AC with a moonlight blade, I think crafting something that makes YOU effective with your own intuition makes every victory far more satisfying than looking up the latest "Meta OP build that is now better than zimmermans." For me hitting that finish line on my own damn terms is more rewarding.

I wouldn't call it hatred... my feelings towards them are fueled by war flashbacks from missile boats in AC4 before the first regulation.

Do you focus more on the LS's regular attacks than the charged ones? I can see the pulse gun being an option to pair with it.

I'll have to give it a try. I'm hoping the Melander arms can still handle it. Pre-patch it had perfect recoil control with solid melee specialization.

Fair observation, except the charged attack explosions is what causes massive stagger buildup that's comparable to the Zimmerman at close range. Hence, the comparison.

@@dsaBOSS Yeah I guess so. They just seem more comparable to shit like the majestic or the other laser weapons tbh, unless you're speaking purely on power level and not on playstyle at all. Still I ain't mad this is just a nitpick. Good vid :)

This update pretty much blindsided everyone. I appreciate these frequent patches, but this came out of nowhere. Maybe it has to do with them working on something bigger for the game?

Nah, ducketts are now even worse than before 1.0.7. Arms that can handle the new recoil tend to have pretty bad firearm spec

@@dsaBOSS Honestly, that was a hot take from me. After feeling it out a bit, the recoil is definately felt, you need to pace shots more, alternating between triggers without going into max rpm. I just wish that instead of the nerf they just reverted them to their old pre-1.07 version. For context, I missed 1.07 and 1.07.1 so I don't even know what they felt like after buffs. They were (and in a way still are) a great stagger builder for ultra lightweight melee builds. It'd say it's a reverse-QoL change. Arms that can hande max rpm spam have terrible firearms spec, so you won't hit stuff either way. At the moment I'd say Lammergeier arms are the best ones for Duckett builds

@@caiosalcedo4301 for PvE I made my own version. It's still quad gats, but a little less bulk and a little more speed.

I feel that. As someone who sorely misses snipers and proper long range combat, they could do more to refine the current system.

In my mind FS could half the stagger building up across the game and make acs breaks shorter OR not make you stop completely on the spot. FS should probably make some melee/bazooka/charged weapons faster to deploy if that where to happen but would be more fun especially in both PvE/PvP. Wouldnt halt the flow of movement so much

Agreed. It saw a lot of play because most players were trying it out. Etsujin had a full season to be top tier before it got nerfed.

I think that aged perfectly lol. Not even Etsujin got nerfed this quickly.

Highly recommend trying them on a build like this. Constant bombardment, no downtime from firing stance.

Let me know how it goes with that heavier tetrapod. Putting together this build made it difficult going back to something heavier with how much speed and firepower it offers.

@@dsaBOSS (by the way of course the heavier tetra isn't using the strongest energy firearm spec. generator as the legs are too power hungry) tried it once and went bad >_> the dude had the flamethrower and two gatling guns, it would melt me. staying barely in range for the normal shots would work better but he still won. I couldn't play very much yesterday because in ranked there was a super laggy dude who was playing on wifi no doubt. unplayable.

Super frustrating. I even switched to a wheelchair build the other day and fought 3 missile rats in a row...

It's surprising how both designs can be polarizing among fans, but I also think both are appealing for different reasons.

The Primal Armor system was a better stagger mechanic IMO.

That's awesome! I tried something similar by replicating the emblem Berlioz used. AC4 had some cool emblems that I wish transferred over to FA.

It used to be pretty common in fourth gen and even a bit in third gen. In AC6, it definitely feels out of place.

I recently got Sparking Zero, have to find time to really dive in though. I'm really wondering if FROM will be hinting at DLC or a AC6 sequel anytime soon.

That would be wild! Especially if it's a coral weapon. I'd like to think if they ever add snipers again, a coral sniper would be incredible.

Having one less weapon does make it more challenging, not nearly as much as when I recreated Stinger, but close.

It really comes down to what you're trying to dodge and which direction it's coming from.

@@dsaBOSS Really loving both the fast paced combat and the movement its so smooth. The customization as well really makes me check what other builds I can make. Hoping DLC will release, since Elden ring dlc is finished and out. Nice content also.
