Thanks for this video. Very helpful. I used hairdryer to heat the tabs slightly to pinch them in and release the bottom shelf. I removed glass and asked hubby to remove all 3 tabs. My GE refrigerator glass shelf simply lays inside the frame. Never had a problem. I took these steps to make it easier to clean next time.

I have replaced mine, several times over the years. I never pulled the entire heat assembly out. I just reach inside and remove the 4 housing screws, with a rachet wrench and nut driver. Its a bitch, but works too. The top and bottom become loose enough to remove and install the heating element.

I will never buy another Samsung fridge again. I shouldn’t have to find a KZbin video to show me how to clean the glass in a fridge and don’t get me started on the ice maker that only works some of the time. I’ve spent over an hour on what should have been a 15 minute thing.

2:13 I agree - I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator. Poor design/ engineering that is not user friendly. My husband bought a counter-top ice maker because that didn't work either in the refrigerator. Bottom line, I will be reluctant to buy any Samsung appliance in the future, even if we are reimbursed for the charges to repair the refrigerator.
