I know it's not beer but I tried a few non-alcoholic gins to try and cut down on alcohol and came to the conclusion that I should just keep drinking normal gin. Non alcoholic gin tastes like watery juniper juice and not in a good way (if there even is a good way).

That's not a cheap pair of cutters problem, that's a user error. They're made to cut copper and iron up to a certain thickness (ie, wires), and cutting multiple iron pins at the same time is just beyond what they're supposed to be used for.

this was a really cool video! loved watching something get built from start to finish. based on this, i would love to see a handheld emulation kit that fits in your pocket, but that unfortunately feels like it'd fit in a legally tenuous area. also, the mr blobby cross section shirt is truly horrifying, 10/10

Okay, 1. That's the best sponsorship ad for a 3D printer I've seen (printing off a price tag for it is genius) and 2. My god, you have an excellent selection of T-shirts, I absolutely love that Mr. Blobby partial X-Ray one

Nice! You definitely can get a much better aesthetic with post processing and paint, but that's a pain and the metallic filament combined with the wood looks great! I really want to get more into designing aesthetic things one of these days, almost everything I make is function first and then I kinda make it look ok, but the one full print and paint project I did came out pretty good.

I think this is the point in time where I'm finally gonna buy a 3D printer. Reasonable accuracy and multi-filament for under 500 bucks and Matt is happy with it? Sounds like a great deal.

Im quite exited about bio printing because I will need a new heart transplant in like 30 - 40 years when my current one rejects ,, it's a cool science and I had heart failure at the right time for the science I reckon

Best bet to deal with all the plastic waste if you plan to keep using plastics imo is getting a filament extruder. Usually you can recycle as long as it's the same kind of plastic, you just might have to add a bit of fresh material(although I've seen people use 100% recycled PLA for 3 or 4 cycles at least)

@@MattGrayYES coming from your previous videos, I thougjy it'd be like a behind the scenes view on how props for marvel are made, like the gene testing video. Which while intresting would necessarily feel like a promotional video (especially coinsiding with the deadpool movie releasing) Plus your replica really does look very good in the thumbnail further making me think its official. I am obviously no expert on youtube thumbnails, but maybe somethong like " I made a Functional Tempad!" Without the official titles its feels more about your channel.

Matt! I am so proud and excited for you to see that you have a sponsor! Seems like a weird thing to say, but to me this means you are able to actually do such projects now without having to rely only on patreon and your own funding. So so cool! After your series of “Matt tries” I was so hoping you’d get sponsors interested so you can continue! I don’t know shit about electronics or 3D-printing, nor am I a huge marvel nerd - but I’m a Matt fan, so I am excited. Cheers man.

Rather than modeling Adafruit boards yourself, you ought to be able to get their CAD for them. They're generally really good about that (if you know to look for it), although I didn't check whether I could identify the file for the part you were using.
@MattGrayYES26 күн бұрын
Annoyingly they didn’t seem to have a model for that one

@@MattGrayYES Ah, yeah, there's an Eagle CAD file for the PCB, but they don't seem to have made a 3D model of it and converting it is probably not worth the trouble if you don't already have an Eagle CAD license.

5:00 the case making the screen more holdable reminded me of a critique i saw about bezel-less phones where it makes it less functional because suddenly we dont have anywhere to hold on to it. All major phone manufacturers went along with it anyway, and we slap it in a case to ignore their design and protect a $1000 delicate toy
