Girl i was vegan for 5 years, quit two years ago. In the last year i discovered the science of hormonal health and glucose levels by accident. I have my appointment at the endocrinologist in 2026, i have most of the symptoms for pcos. So i just started eating like i already have it diagnosed - focusing on animal protein, veg, fruit and working out with weights.

Cutting down on animal products is a great move but many health experts agree that veganism long term is not sustainable and healthy. You do you, thank you for sharing

Please don’t stop making videos especially about food. I’ve been dealing with PCOS for years and never tried to do anything about it until I realized how it affects fertility. So now I’m watching boobtube and doing research to figure out how I can help myself while looking for a doctor who won’t overlook my symptoms. So please keep going ! Can’t wait to see what kind of content you produce.

Just found your channel. I was searching for a different video but was excited when I found yours. I was diagnosed with pcos while I was vegan. (It didn’t cause it.) I have recently ended my 7-8 years of being vegan in hopes that it’d help with all the fun symptoms we have to deal with, that I think the carb heavy diet made worse for me.

What are PCOs
@henriette76693 ай бұрын
There is more to pcos than eating. Like u didn’t lie or anything but the overview of pcos wasn’t complete. U have to say that this lifestyle change may work for u but defiantly no one with for example stress issues that make pcos worse!! And by the way ur diagnosis isn’t right 😅. U NEED to do a blood test to know u have higher male Hormons. Seeing u having physical signs of high testo IS NOT enough❤.

I just started my PCOS journey less than a month ago and this video was very encouraging. I really hope to see an update on your journey, especially with accutane and how that went for you! (I'm 5 days into my course) I'm sure you're super busy but I really hope you don't feel discouraged by the time that has passed. I really hope everything is going great for you regardless 🤗

I really appreciate this video! I’m a vegetarian I don’t eat eggs. However lately my body seems to want fatty fish like salmon or tuna. I felt guilty because the reason I don’t eat meat was more so spiritual ethics. But I started thinking to myself, guilt isn’t a good energy for the body to carry. I may vegan incorporating salmon. Especially near my period

I also have PCOS and quit veganism after 5 years. I was so indoctrinated to the point where I was putting what everyone else thought of me over my health. You have so many great ideas, I really enjoyed all the food you shared! 🤗

You video was recommended by KZbin and I’m so glad I clicked on it. I also have PCOS and I feel like I’ve made it my life long mission to always manage my symptoms and listen to other women and their journey. PCOS girls really share a special bond because we can all relate on some level. Please don’t ever apologize or feel guilty for changing your lifestyle for the sake of your health. Your video was TRULY inspiring and I hope you will continue to make more PCOS content! Just subscribed 😊

Thank you so much for this video Cheyenne. I know this was from a year ago, but I just got diagnosed with PCOS last week. I had been vegan for about 6 years, and have recently started incorportating eggs and fish/ some seafood due to certain deficienies and overall health for PCOS. I honestly would have never thought I had it, since my periods are pretty regular and I dont have acne or excessive hair growth. But I unfortunately do have the male pattern baldness and the mini cysts on the ovaries. I never thought I would not be vegan, and part of me is heart broken about it. I also worried about judgement from vegan communities, but ultimately I know this is what is best for my health. I just wanted to thank you for making something so relatable, and I really hope your journey has been well since. :)

I completely relate started a whole vegan business! Now after 2 miscarriage I been told that I need to eat protein so it’s been a year now I noticed so many healthy changes I lost 2 stone effortlessly. It’s hard when you have built an identity on a label so it really help me understand not to label myself ever

I completely can relate to this video! I was diagnosed with pcos over 15 years ago and for 10 of those I was vegan. I even was plant based vegan for 4 of those years and it didn’t help with any of my pcos related symptoms. I made the decision to incorporate chicken back into my diet and lose all the fake meat products and it did wonders for my skin and weight. I still have guilt coping meat even if it’s only a few days a week. Despite what the vegan and plant based community might feel it’s not for everyone. Don’t stop doing what you’re doing:)

I literally told my therapist just this morning about how quitting coffee helps me sleep, I've been sleeping poorly for over 6 years, and I almost feared going to sleep - and now here I am sipping Teeccino herbal coffee while I watch this. . . I told her to suggest to other people, ask them if they'd be willing to ramp down the coffee

Any restrictive diet is often unsustainable! Thank you for your honesty, I don’t meet a lot of ex vegans (like myself) who acknowledge it. They usually suffer health issues and just disappear off of the platform without explanation. Taking nutrition in college was a big eye opener when it comes to just how restrictive and unhealthy these diets can be for people. There’s nothing wrong with being vegan it just does not work for everyone and that’s okay. There are other ways to make a difference if you’re only vegan because you love animals. I don’t eat meat like I used to, but it’s still necessary to my own personal health. You can also cook in cast iron to help add more iron into your diet if you aren’t big on red meats or other animal based iron rich foods. Take care of yourself! ❤

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2020, but didn’t find out about it until July 2023. Basically in 2020 I missed my period for about 6 months and then this year I missed it in July and thought I had blockage again, so I went on the patient portal and found a message from 2020 where they diagnosed me. Explains a lot about what is wrong with me. Acne since I was 11 (I’m 25), tired all the time, headaches everyday, irregular period, and a number of other things.

My grandmother was in her second life now, all because she ate what she wanted to eat. Before we are so strict about her food intake, wherein we shift her to being vegan but then she became worse! After she was confined in hospital for 2 months her dietician and doctor allowed her to eat anything she wants or what we normally cook at home, she eats a right amount of protein (chicken, pork, beef,eggs) and not a vegan anymore and amazingly from bedridden to now alive and kicking healthy grandmother. I am just watching your foods, but I am not a big fan of Vegan things, and just by watching how you have breakouts of most of your videos, in my mind saying”I hope she quits being vegan because it really doesn’t work, you even have health issues while you are Vegan. God did not create things that doesn’t benefit people like the source of protein, but to intake these things in moderation.

sorry have to step in and speak up against this utter BS that eating vegan was the cause of your PCOS. It's just utter BS - the first thing people blame for their health woes is eating vegan, when indeed the best possible food program for homo sapiens is a whole foods plant based diet. But, people go on a vegan joy ride for whatever reasons their brains tell them to (that has nothing to do with animal rights) and then they crash and burn because they don't know how to eat vegan right. So if this video was to be honest it would say that the video maker didn't know how to eat vegan right, ate a bunch of the wrong things and none of the right things, and got themselves into something. PCOS isn't affected by food intake anyway. Just really tired of amateur wanna be vegans who don't take the time to understand how to eat right on a plant based diet coming back and blaming being vegan for their health problems. Your ovaries were not affected by eating only plants. nutritionfacts.org forkesoverknives.org If you want to heal your body of ailments eat vegan right. This is like me saying oh I had to go vegan because eating all Big Macs from McDonalds every day made me sick so I can't eat meat anymore. Please stop making these uneducated and wrong commentaries about being vegan when it was your lack of education and your poor food choices that had anything to do with you not feeling well. There's a reason why female and male super athletes alike eat vegan. It's 100% better for the human body when it's done the right way. Eating animal products is still the #1 reason people die prematurely in America.
