I watched this on TV years ago. For some reason we had a German channel named RTL. I remember the title of this movie after all this time because it sounds funny to me, who doesn't speak German. Todeskralle! 😜

Thank you for this interview. I first saw a TV print of "Junior Bonner" on WGN-TV in the 1980s, with "Arizona Morning" as the opening song. I love the original film and TV print version of "Junior Bonner" and always wondered why home video releases went with the other song.

Oh that sounds great even if it is Convoy. Is it by the same company that did the Alfredo Garcia, Osterman Weekend and Cross Of Iron boxes? Expanded Editions of any Peckinpah film are always welcome. I wish Deadly Companions would finally get more respect and an expanded edition as well. @@juniormike

Sam Peckinoah's relationship with Ida Lupino deserves a great deal more research that is currently the case.

What makes you think there was a bigger relationship? On PRIVATE HELL 36 he was just an assistant, on JUNIOR BONNER Peckinpah wanted to cast Susan Hayward, which didn't work out so well... (the story is included in my documentary about JUNIOR BONNER)

The fact that they knew each other and the circumstances surrounding Peckinpah's living in her back yard speaks volumes as to why so little is said about their relationship during that time period. Ida Lupino's last days were not very pleasant one's from all I have read which may or may not be true. Cary Grant stated never to believe any book about him aside from information regarding the dates a film began production and so forth.@@juniormike
