I've owned many vests and I have to agree that Iron Heart is the GOAT. Their Type III vest (which has de facto interior pockets on the other side of the hand warmers) and their N1 deck vest are among the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I wear their Type III vest every time I fly (great for storage) and the N1 deck vest is incredibly warm and fantastic for layering.

I would wear a chore coat over my fitted denim jacket or wool sweater or flannel over shirt but near live near Toronto🇨🇦. I do have some fitted jackets for warmer weather and lighter weight denim. Nudie Jeans from Sweden and Naked and Famous from Montreal make cool stuff as well as great chore coats in limited runs at accessible price points. The zip up chore is always a great option as well as canvas, although waxed canvas no matter how you care for it or rewax it will eventually smell like an old box of crayons after 5 years.

The Dehen N1 jacket is about 1.5X in price for the IronHeart. Not clear why the price should be so much more. I like the N1 for cold weather better than the A2 even though I'm in SoCal.

Because the Dehen jacket is literally a work art!
@eingames993116 күн бұрын
The Dehen has shearling which means that the wool is still attached to the leather. And then it is sewn into the jacket. Considering that a Schott B3 is $1500, the Dehen is not to bad at $1250, but I would go with the heat straps coat that has shearling lining at $1000 myself (just can't remember it's name). And of course it is sold out.

Ready to buy but confused on live video color of jackets vs still photos and even on the site. Different?
@themancaveclub22 күн бұрын
Hello William, the main difference betwixt the two is that my jacket is Kaihara Japanese raw selvage denim. Jimmy's is the Kuroki 14 oz. natural indigo dyed denim. My jacket is a stiffer and slightly lighter in color denim. Personally, I like the natural indigo denim better. It just has a softer nicer feel wearing it. But, having said that, some people prefer RAW denim better because of the potential for contrasting fades. They're both super nice jackets!

It’s cool the Field Jacket liner is trending with the current generation. I was first introduced to field jackets, and the field jacket liner, when I reported to Officer Candidates School, Marine Corps Base Quantico, in January 1993. It was freezing and that field jacket, and liner, made life just a little bit more bearable. Fellas, check out the 100% wool, Marine Corps “woolly pulley” sweater. I predict that’s the next military uniform item, the hipsters, and fashion influencers, will embrace.
