I've owned many vests and I have to agree that Iron Heart is the GOAT. Their Type III vest (which has de facto interior pockets on the other side of the hand warmers) and their N1 deck vest are among the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. I wear their Type III vest every time I fly (great for storage) and the N1 deck vest is incredibly warm and fantastic for layering.

I was a late comer to vests, I always though what is the point of layering something over the top but not have sleeves? But sometimes you want to keep the shoulder mobility, sometimes to want to wear it under a larger jacket for that working man's waistcoat look. My favourite vest style is a shearling vest. Put a jacket over the vest and you can pop the wool collar over it to make any denim jacket into a sherpa style.

The eat dust vest is by far the best looking vest on the market ! Vests aren’t me so I never bought one but I did buy an eat dust N1 deck jacket and I wear that six months of the year it’s my go too over my real McCoy

The pocket detail on the eat dust vest are “z bars”. As in chopper “z bars”.

I’m really interested in the Wiesmade vest. Could you tell me if it wears smaller or larger than specs would suggest? I’m 5’10” with a 40.5” chest and am usually between a small and medium in most outerwear. I know the small is a 41 in the chest, which might be too snug.

Yes, the small would probably be too snug. Jimmy is about the same size as you- he’s wearing a medium in the video.
