Between these and Lofgren's, though I like the Lofgren's too... I chose to get these. There's something about the aesthetic. The way it leans forward a bit, how the vamp stitching to the upper has this exaggerated low curve... Yeah I just slightly prefer the look of these to the Lofgren's. Though if I can find the Lofgren's in horsebutt, I'd probably get a pair of those too!

I have their S&S collab in crust horse butt. Real similar to these. 100% agree on my best fitting engineers. Such a good last for my foot and my heel is nicely secured. Easily my fav engineer at this price point, maybe even overall. Cheers fellas. Love the show

@@alexperez3651 yes, I noticed the S&S version came with brass buckles. So nice!

Those look good! I’ll see if I can find some in my size. I love my John Lofgrens, but they are a touch wide, still comfortable all day tho. I have 45 year old engineers for riding, just cant bring my self to wearing my nice boots on the bike.
@davel27342 ай бұрын
Is the shaft on those wider than your Flatheads? Thx and good video!
@themancaveclub2 ай бұрын
I would say they’re about the same, maybe the pass through is a tad bit narrower than the FH boot. If you go on Brogue shop’s web page- you’ll see he recommends a stretcher for the pass through. My foot slips through when I put them on but, I can’t get them off without using a boot jack to pull them. But, that’s the trade off for them fitting so well!!

Thanks for the video! I would like to buy a pair of these boots, but I don't think they would fit me well, since the Lofgrens are too wide for me. Engineer boots are not for everyone. It's better to have wide feet. Regards.
@themancaveclub2 ай бұрын
@@ernestoviu3952 I don’t have wide feet. You might want to try Attractions, the last is relatively narrow. Also, you could have a custom pair made. Role Club, Unsung etc.
@ernestoviu39522 ай бұрын
@@themancaveclub Thanks for the answer. I would have to try them before buying them. The ones that fit me best are the Clinch, their narrow last is perfect for me. In order to be able to wear my Lofgren pair comfortably, I had to put inserts inside the boot and in the instep, because it didn't matter if I tightened the strap or made more holes or put in an insole, they worked well in length, but not in width and instep.
@themancaveclub2 ай бұрын
@@ernestoviu3952oh wow I guess you do have narrow feet. From my experience Lofgrens are the most narrow.

So, true to size or half down?
@themancaveclub2 ай бұрын
Depends on your foot. But, definitely more “true to size” than other brands.

good boots. especially the horse's butt. A week later, these white circles fell off my left boot. This is not critical, but I think that this is not a good solution for these soles.

It is a fact of life that Japanese anything does not fit me. 6'3" 220lbs size 14 is not huge but it is out of the realm of most everything cool. The upside is that it saves me tons of $$$ not splashing out on nice gear.😊
@themancaveclub2 ай бұрын
@@michaeledwardlenzi really? Size 14? The largest size they offer is 12.

Yeah, I am way out of the picture. I used to try to squeeze into 12s and 13s and I messed my feet up.
