Thank you for making this tutorial ❤❤ I got a XTool S1 for Christmas and have been searching for a good tutorial. Yours by far is the BEST!! You have a new subscriber 😊

Excellent video! Thanks!! 😊 My ultra does not show the red cross alignment on my screen. Is this a setting?
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
I cannot find a setting to turn that on or off. Make sure the laser is over your tumbler, then it should show in the working area. You can also make sure your software and firmware are up to date.

I have removed the little fan that came with my p2 and i have an infinity inline fan hooked up. Do i hook the ap2 up before or after my inline fan?
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
After the inline fan, think of this as the final place that you vent out to. It's where all the smoke will be collected.

Hi Sarah, I have subscribed to Creative Fabrica, I am unable to upload these files or any files I have in my computer to XCS, what am I doing wrong?
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
A couple things to try. Most file packages from Creative Fabrica are zipped, it will show a folder with a zipper on it. Open that folder and extract the files. Then you will see everything you downloaded. Make sure the file you want to use is an SVG for cutting or engraving. If you download a font you need to install that to your computer first, then it will show up in XCS.
@cindykulp4406Күн бұрын
My stored downloads are for Cricut so they are svg. And I have extracted all zip files

I entered some images and they are being saved as A. W. S S. File will it work for me
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
WSS is the file extension for WeCreat. Once the images are in the software and you save the project, that is the format it will be in. You can open this back up in the software any time.

I was hoping to use my cricut marker to print a design and then go in with the quill to mark it in manually. Is the foil too sensitive to add to a circuit mat do you think?
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
I wouldn't let the foil touch the mat, it will stick and not come off. But you can absolutely go over the design you just made with your Cricut.

Hello Sarah, I’m really enjoying your tutorials and learning quite a bit. I recently set up my new xtool S1 20w, I purchased a bundle which included the honeycomb base, should I have received the rods also?
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
I received my model very early, now if you order the honeycomb, they no longer send the prisms. To be honest, I use my honeycomb for almost every job.

How do you stop the wood from breaking after you install the ear ring hardware from use. It’s so thin. Do you CA glue the ear ring connection point. Thank you for your reply.
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
The wood is thin, I make sure the hole for the earring attachment is far enough away from the edge and that the earring shape is thick enough to avoid breaking. If it does break, I try to alter the design before using glue.

Can I ask how you prevent air bubbles, thank you! You’ve inspired me
@SarahVanderkooyКүн бұрын
You can shake the silicone mat a little to remove bubbles, or place a lighter close to the wet resin to pop any bubbles that rise to the top before curing.

Thank you for your informational video! I wanting to start my business by purchasing a DTF printer. My question is, if the printer only comes with gang sheet film, once they're printed what's the best way to cure them once it has been printed? I realize the oven is not large enough for the entire sheet. Also, since I am just beginning I probably won't be printing daily. I have heard that if you don't print daily that you could damage or ruin your printer because the white in clogs up. This worries me but I would prefer to print in house instead of having someone else do it, as it is much more convenient to do so at home. Looking forward to your response.
@SarahVanderkooy5 күн бұрын
Glad you found this helpful! Most printers that use rolls of film need to be cut from the roll still in the machine after they are printed. If you need to cut them down to your oven size just do it carefully so you don't disturb the wet ink. Then you can cure in smaller sizes. Printing often is helpful to keep the ink moving with any kind of printer. I would recommend looking at the maintenance schedule for the brand of printer you get. They will typically recommend a daily/weekly/monthly cleaning routine. Some even have auto clean, just leave the printer on and it takes care of itself! If you follow these instructions you should be fine not printing every day.

How much does the DTF film cost?
@SarahVanderkooy6 күн бұрын
For reference a 24" x 328' is about $185 The price will vary based on the size of your printer and the type of film.

That particular stencil is no longer available, I linked a similar one in the description. Or look for reusable adhesive stencils.

Great video! I have the S1 20W and would love to get some blanks and give these a go. Would you just recommend power 10 speed 300 (that you used for the 40W), or the standard XCS settings for the 20W - power 15 speed 180?
@SarahVanderkooy6 күн бұрын
I would start with the standard XCS settings for your 20W machine. That is what I started with for my 40W and they turned out to be ideal.

Thanks for making the video. How long does it last? Will you eventually have to paint?
@SarahVanderkooy5 күн бұрын
This is made with galvanized steel so it's built to last, I've only had mine for a year and so far it looks great. No fading or rusting. Over time, this can rust but that should be many years down the road.
