Anyone have any issues with these virtual instruments automatically changing octaves when the cycle function is engaged? It doesn't do this unless I set the beginning of the cycle directly at the first note of the midi region. If I set it a few ticks away it leaves it alone. It's so weird and I can't figure it out. Can't seem to find anything about this issue anywhere else. It's pissing me off. 😂It's the bass instrument that's doing it.

Great instructional video as always. Do you have a video on how to send reverb or effects to a singer who is ready to record their vocal. (i.e. vocal monitoring?) Every time I try this, I add so much latency, it becomes impossible to use. Also tried changing the sample rate, but was unsuccessful. I have a 1 year old MacBook pro, m3 chip with plenty of processing power. What am I doing wrong?

There is nothing worse than Ai😡 It’s getting to the point where computers should be not be used for creative purposes and we all go back to how things should be done. Time to use our own voices, minds and talent. Pick up an acoustic guitar and learn a real piano, bang a real drum get rid of this artificial garbage that is starting to pervert the art of music.

Your demo sounds amazing! I just bought ACE Studio several days ago, but I haven’t tried it out yet. I anticipate a bit of a steep learning curve, but that’s OK. It is like you said: this software is like any virtual instrument, such as a violin patch. You need to know how to tweak all the settings to add nuance and get a realistic-sounding performance. I am impressed with how good a result you got with voice-to-MIDI. In most other videos I watched for ACE, the results were pretty weak, with the software faithfully reproducing all the flaws of the original performance. To my ear, your vocal sounded pretty good going in, so you almost might as well have sung the thing yourself and fixed it up with Melodyne or something. Still, you did manage to capture nuances that would’ve been difficult to program into the MIDI-to-voice rendition. As an amateur songwriter, I think I might use ACE to develop lyrics to my original songs, perhaps using the AI rendition in the final product, or perhaps replacing it with my own heavily edited vocal.

I'd never use it to instead of a real singer, but I have seen it used by someone commissioned to write a song for project. They used it to create a work vocal track while building up the rest of the tune. So for a work vocal be real handy to get idea of what finish project will sound like while working.
@knuckledustermusic

@DojoOfCool exactly! Using it this way makes it real easy to show a singer exactly what you’re after.
@DojoOfCool
@DojoOfCool 22 күн бұрын
I wouldn't use it that way I'd want a singer to do their thing not influenced by AI. I'd just use it as a place holder for me while working. Sessions I've worked on singer will do a "work vocal" as a place holder while the rhythm tracks are cut and overdubs are done, Then when tune basically done the singer comes back in to do the vocal that will be kept.
@knuckledustermusic
